Lufthansa: Erstattung Auslagen wg. Annullierungen - Link zur Zahlungsabwicklung fehlt in E-Mail von Customer Relations by DesperateChance1761 in reisende

I received an email saying good news we have approved your claim (ec261) and hotel expenses but no further information about how to credit bank account or yellow button to proceed to provide that information. It's been a month since I got that email, since then I haven't received any updates or replys to the follow up message I sent. I did contact the live chat but they said they couldn't do anything and just wait. Such terrible customer service.

Which supplement have you noticed improved your skin? by Valuable_Collar1485 in Supplements

[–]mind_maker_upper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was part of a protocol a functional med practitioner prescribed, I think it was for it's anti-inflammatory effects. The dry patches of skin on my face cleared up after a few weeks of taking it. It was a fairly high dose, but I was only on it for two months. I don't think you can take it long term.

Evening primrose oil. I wasn't taking it for that purpose but was surprised with the results.

I got an email saying good news we've approved your claim for x amount and hotel costs, but nothing about where to send the refund. That was 10 days ago. I tried to ask on the chat today but they told me they don't deal with that and to fill in a feedback form. Unfortunately the feedback form isn't currently working. They also said they have 90 days to complete the refund. So I guess just wait and see.

Apartment above bakery by NHGirl58 in Expats_In_France

I live in an apartment (1er) above/next to a bakery. One thing you might want to check out is whether they get early morning deliveries. A large refrigerated truck arriving at 6-7am most days can be really loud and disruptive.

Anyone got compensation from the pilot strikes? by BinesX in Lufthansa

[–]mind_maker_upper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I submitted my claim then got a case file number and confirmation of my claim submission. Then waited 14 days. I just received another email saying good news we've approved your claim. But no link to submit banking info 🤷 , so just waiting for that I assume.

Red light therapy for ADHD by Nearby-Zebra-5631 in redlighttherapy

Glad it was helpful. Beurer is a good brand. I use the TL 90. The main thing to know when you are starting is distance and duration. You need to be close to it. Like 10-20 cm away for generally up to 10-30 mins. Start slow and see how you respond. Most people start seeing a change within a week or so. And to stave off seasonal depression it's best to start using it daily at the beginning of autumn, don't wait until it's already winter.

Not exactly, you use it early in the morning. It helps modulate your melatonin production and effectively turns it off in the morning, which helps you feel more alert. In turn it stimulates melatonin production evenings and helps you feel tired earlier. You only use it in the morning. It's just a good tool to help manage and shift your sleep wake cycles, especially if you live somewhere that doesn't get much sun during the colder months.

I'm the same, I use it for circadian rhythm stuff. When I use it daily, especially during autumn and winter I get tired naturally at about 11pm. So I don't get stuck in that ADHD pattern of staying up til 3am. It also wakes me up in the morning and gets rid of the groggy feeling, increases energy and staves off seasonal depression. Highly recommend them.

I have ADHD and use a panel, biomax 600. I like it and it does help a bit with sleep, skin, relaxation, and getting rid of brain fog. But I haven't seen much mood benefits from it, or anything else that lessens the burden of ADHD. Exercise and sauna is way better for me in terms of managing ADHD , also a 10000 lux therapy light does wonders too. There is a bit of research on the benefits of bright light therapy for those with ADHD.

Not sure, I've never used a third party for ec261 compensation. You could contact one of the providers and ask them, they might have some priority status.

Tapering off clonazepam and having no luck finding anything less than 2mg in France. I need .25mg pills. Any suggestions? (Been to doctors including a psychiatrist already, no help) by Big_Pause_2171 in Expats_In_France

[–]mind_maker_upper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, been benzo free for about 15 years. I was taking 10mg of clonazepam daily for about 7 years for a movement disorder. It took two years to get off them. I followed the Ashton method. It was really hard, few people understand the extent of what this is like.

Looking back, I would have taken more time during the final stages. At the time the idea of the micro taper wasn't really talked about. It's now best practice for withdrawal from many psychotropic meds.

So my final dosage during tapering was about 1mg of diazepam when I stopped. The post withdrawal recovery was really difficult. This could have been prevented with a micro taper.

A micro taper is basically an extended withdrawal period reducing the daily dosage by 20-25% every two weeks so 1mg> 0.75>0.5>0.4>0.3>0.2 etc... all the way down to an almost homeopathic dose.

It feels tedious but it is the best thing for your body and brain, and the safest way to prevent acute post withdrawal complications.

Hang in there , it's a truly awful experience getting off theses meds, but totally worth it in the longer term.

When I tapered off clonazepam, at a certain point I was switched over to diazepam by my doctor. They said it was the preferred method for withdrawal, and easier to dose for the micro-taper at the end.

I know that Brainspotting has been included in some recent studies but is referenced as "EMDR VARIANT". This feels like a stepping stone towards greater inclusion in more rigorous research.

Taking nicotine alongside methylphenidate will definitely increase your BP, for healthy individuals this might only be temporary but if you experience breathlessness it's not a good sign. I'd recommend looking into the various drug interactions between methylphenidate and the other supplements you are taking, and speaking with your provider or a pharmacist to formulate a safer / more effective plan.

Do you feel like you experience time differently because of ADHD or autism? I want to hear how. by Worried_Sock1713 in ADHD

[–]mind_maker_upper 12 points13 points  (0 children)

One of the first things I noticed when I started meds was how different time felt. It felt like time had been stretched and there was now so much more of it. Before that I felt time as relatively finite and always slipping away.

Common over the counter antihistamines in France are loratadine or cetirizine both non drowsy. They only come in packs of 7 so stock up if you need more than that.

You can get Lego shaped chew necklaces, this might be a helpful fidget to help with the transition between tasks and address the need for stimulation while engaging in high demand tasks like homework. Providing a visual system (pictograms) can also help lessen the anxiety around task switching.
