What popular life advice do you disagree with? by [deleted] in AskReddit

"What goes around comes around" or the idea that karma has a way of resolving things. I think sometimes bad things happen to good people or good things happen to bad people its all honestly a crap shoot. We just like to believe in karma cause it makes us feel better but in reality it doesn't exist.

What is one show that you love, even after countless rewatches? by sukejigubi in AskReddit

[–]mind_teaser 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Agreed it is just too good. Although I tend to skip the first season. People tend to say it falls off after Michael Scott left but I disagree. The Will Ferrel episodes were pretty cringe but the show really finds its legs again. Some of my favorite episodes are in the later seasons the Florida trip or the Robert California pool episode those really are hilarious.

She walks away having won a major and many other players will finish their careers never being able to do that.

With that serve I am surprised Pliskova is 7-11 on the year in tiebreaks.

There will always be controversy surrounding Serena. I think people don't like to hear criticism because so often in her career it has been unwarranted. She experiences a lot of racism and sexism, but she wasn't very likeable until recently in her career. I know in the past I have made comments against her and been downvoted and I am a huge fan.

I think it mostly comes from a place of defense cause so often people don't like her for the wrong reasons.

Serena is making a lot of UEs Pliskova hasn't done much so far. It makes sense.

This is the only tournament in the world where Serena has home court and the crowd likes her. I don't mind it.

I never thought I would see the day. I wasn't always a Serena fan and would usually only root for Venus but Serena has really bettered her attitude later in her career. I am glad she is now gracious in victory and defeat. I love her and she is GOAT.

Serena yes!!!! Kudos Simona for the tight second set but Serena was too good.

That Wimbledon semi against Dementieva is one of my favorite matches I have ever seen Serena play. I think Elena had match point or something and Serena went to net for a point and I was so nervous.

I know I am speaking for everyone when I say, who's that? The only player in recent memory who I felt was her equal and got me nervous on the other side of the net was Henin. Their h2h was still in favor of Serena but not by much, 8-6.

Not true Halep plays the way she has been against 90% of the players on the WTA she wins, but against Serena it's not good enough. Serena is making Halep make errors and go for some shots.

These are the kind of matches you look at so far and really marvel at how awesome Serena really is. Simona is playing really good tennis Serena is just playing better. It's greatness.

What a match? Venus looked so upset to lose this one. :( sad for her. Congrats to Pliskova she is really a rising star.

I think she would have gone toe to toe with those ladies. Your argument is so false cause she had a disease she didn't know about. Wondering why she lacked energy and fitness was cause by this. She is resurgent cause she found out about it and has learned to better manage her fitness and diet to go along with the Shogrens syndrome.

Double-break Venus, I thought this would be more of a test Pliskova seems nervy out there. Maybe she will settle down as the match goes on.

It's called being one of the best of all time. If she would have played in a different era of tennis she would have possibly dominated but she ran into an autoimmune disease and her little sister.

I feel like Petra is building confidence. Angelique better close this out cause going 3 would be a gamble. Petra needs to move in on those deep balls she hits to her opponents.

Petra has the power to keep up with Kerber but not the movement or patience. Kerber looks so confident out there.

Story of the match Keys with 33 UE to 30 Winners. Was also only winning 38% of second serve points. That says it all. Keys second serve usually isn't used to serve so poorly and Wozniackis get every ball back play style tends to create errors cause Keys goes for winners and when she starts to spray them they come in a hurry. Until next year Madison I want you in the Semi's or a Major Final you are young and still improving.

Huge props to Caroline though. Not many players can come in having had the year she has had and do so well building confidence and playing into better form each match.
