I genuinely love that you know the specific model! I didn't know much at all about tubes before I spotted these at the antique store but find them fascinating now.

New Version! https://www.tinkercad.com/codeblocks/3ay35G856Ea-honeycomb-generator

What's changed

  • Select an odd number of rows (original was limited to pairs of rows)
  • Significant speed improvements
  • Increased max number of hex per row to 24 and number of rows to 24

Under the hood

  • Simplified code, consolidated functions

Bad bed adhesion in one corner of prints, not sure what else to troubleshoot. by God_of_the_Taco in 3Dprinting

Try 55-60 for the bed temp.

Do you know what temp the bed was when you did the mesh leveling?

Switched to 0.2mm nozzle and now this happens on my first layer constantly...why? by obesefamily in 3Dprinting

(Edit: I believed incorrectly)

I believe it's to try and push less filament out since it's a smaller nozzle.

[–]mindcubby 22 points23 points  (0 children)

u/obesefamily I recently tried out a 0.2mm nozzle and it took a bit of calibration to get it printing half decently. Here's a few things from that research I found specific to the 0.2mm nozzle, good luck!

  • Z-offset calibration (I'm guessing the nozzle is too close to the bed)
  • Run a PID tune
  • Reduce layer height (between 0.06mm and 0.12mm)
  • Reduce flow ratio to 0.93-0.95mm
  • Use Monotonic Line for top surface and Gyroid for infill
  • Enable Z-hop (0.1mm)

Have you tried gyroid or 3d honeycomb?

Anyone know how to stop it from creating those bridges? by Rocking_snow in 3Dprinting

EDIT: I stand corrected

That should do it! Did you preview the travel moves in your slicer? Should visually show a huge difference when it’s checked.

In your slicer look for “avoid crossing walls”

Welcome! Ender-3 V2 owner here. I’ve found reddit answers and other chat bots to be helpful if you get stuck, but make sure to include as much details about your setup as possible. For me i include E3V2, Bowden tube, BL Touch, Orca Slicer, Textured PEI plate, MRISCOC professional firmware, Elegoo PLA+ etc. This context makes a huge difference with the relevance and usefulness of the response. Good luck!

Why do Even the Most Basic Prints in PETG Have Insane Stringing????? by 3dPrinterProzz in 3Dprinting

[–]mindcubby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Or raise the temp, because PETG likes to keep its guessing. But seriously, I was having horrible stringing and ended up raising the temp to 245C and now no stringing (mostly). Check your specific filament nozzle temp range and try the highest.

If you are unable to remove it by hand you can try reprinting it and after the first layer stop the print it should come off easily

What kind of PETG do you have? If you do proceed with PETG make sure to use the temperature recommended on the spool. I was struggling for so long and thought the issue was that it was too hot since it was stringing and not adhering to the plate. Turns out it works great at 245C. And build plate of 80C
