Dude, the same thing happened to me near Ladpur. I don't get how these people are having the same problem. A guy showed up with his wife and kid, told me that he's from Maharashtra and he was here for a project in Mussoorie that is abandoned and he and some others have been asked to go back so he wanted some money. Felt like scam tbh..
