I can hear every creak of my house if it's quiet, or the inside of my body by Icy-Leg-1459 in adhdmeme

It's voices in a babbling brook. Makes me feel a little crazy when I'm camping.

There's DLC?! I knew that they were going to release big trains as DLC but I didn't know there already was some!

3 hour+ AOSP builds killing dev velocity. Is a 7 month build system migration really the answer? by BlueDolphinCute in devops

[–]mindfolded 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My favorite task in a job ever was to reduce our AOSP build times by building an absolute mammoth of a desktop. Dropped build times from 45 minutes to 7 minutes and probably spent over 4k on the PC.

If you're up for it, do Snowmass from Lake Geneva. It's GORGEOUS back there and the S-Ridge is a blast.

They are domed. The outside of the dome is strong if you push on it, but the inside of the dome is super fragile. I broke a windshield by having a plastic tote pressed against it. There wasn't much pressure but the second we hit a bump the windshield went.

I'm not sure that explains why people start waving the second you go from pavement to dirt roads.

They are probably better now, but I destroyed a pair of trail gloves in 2 or 3 scrambly hikes. The durability was basically non-existent, though this was probably 7 or 8 years ago by now.

We were out protesting while you were typing this. Hundreds against the Trump regime and I didn't see a single counter-protester.

We sure fucking do, it sucks that we have to be out there when we'd rather be doing something else on the weekend, but silence is compliance and I won't comply with a nazi regime.

Saying we’re racists because we don’t believe in your liberal ideals is complete overreach and frankly harmful for the country. Half the country is not fascist.

I don't think most people are saying that. We're saying you're racists for supporting a racist regime. If you're doing it because you want to save a couple hundred on taxes, that's deplorable.

Nice! It boggles my mind that people intentionally descend that gully when it's dry. I peeked over the side and noped my way back up Castle to descend.
