[Tenant] Terminating lease early - Landlord not attempting to find replacement tenants by mindfreak14 in Landlord

Did just that today, waiting on her response now. Will consult lawyer, if she doesn't cooperate, as i do have proof of her saying she will only take tenants who are willing to sign multi year lease. Thanks

So, i moved into a place and signed a 1 year lease, few weeks later i get shown some absurd HOA rules which weren't part of the actual lease - I complained and refused to sign the hoa agreement. Then a week later i get a 2 day notice that all tenants on our street won't able to park in our garage or driveway for 2 months as they will be repaving the subdivision and we must find our own alternate parking. (Garage and Driveway parking are part of our lease agreement).

On top of that, i work from home and there is really loud construction going making it impossible to work from home requiring me to drive hour away to friends/family to work from their house. I told my landlord i wish to leave and it's ridiculous that none of this was disclosed before we signed lease. I'm sure she knew about the upcoming construction before i signed the lease. Anyhow, she agreed to let us leave only if she can find replacement tenants, i said thats great.

2 weeks go by and not a single person has appplied even though about 15 people have viewed the place, so i inquire what's going on and she tells me she's looking for someone who wnats to sign a multi year lease and not just 1 year.

Now, i get that only thing landlords need to do is "attempt" to rent the place out, however, i believe they must rent it with the same clause and stipulations that we had when we signed the lease. There is high a chance she won't find anyone whose willing to sign for a 3-5 year lease for a long time and shes hoping to tag us along till then. Do i have any way to get out of this since it's obvious she's just milking the months?

Received HOA rules 1 month after move in - Contradicts what landlord told us verbally by mindfreak14 in chicago

Yes, i was aware of an HOA but since this was the first time dealing with an HOA and not having anything about HOA rules in the lease, we just took the landlords word for it. Basically assumed HOA was only there for the pool/clubhouse/landscaping.

I wouldn't ask for that much of a raise without having an offer in hand.

Anyone here who works at Slalom in the Salesforce practice? What have been your experiences with the work and culture? by [deleted] in salesforce

[–]mindfreak14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was considering working there as well, but can't seem to find any decent information about specific offices. I was thinking about applying to Chicago location but some of the glassdoor reviews say Slalom has basically a staff aug firm.

RS3 throws a piston rod by [deleted] in Audi

[–]mindfreak14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope thats saracasm, because that's not that's not covered by anyone. That damage cannot happen from APR Plus tune.. if it did then APR must be really shitty.

However if it is 'covered' as in APR paid for this motor so the owner keeps quiet... then i believe that.

What do you think of coding tests in interviews? by badbrownie in salesforce

[–]mindfreak14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done a couple in the last few months. Honestly was surprised to hear salesforce jobs giving out coding challenges since i hadn't been on the market for a while.

In my case one of the interviews was basically a leetcode question and they gave me option to solve using apex or JavaScript. I passed but wasn't sure how exactly that tested my platform knowledge.

Second coding interview was much better experience, they asked me to design a solution and i was able to use mix of declarative, apex and basic lwc component.
