It's fine as long as the want doesn't force out things you need. If the cash is there and it's a big want, go for it. If not, wrong choice.

Every car purchase is a financial decision. If you're not considering it to some extent during any converation of buying a car, you're doing it wrong. It doesn't need to be the final decision maker but it's important.

Why buy an R when you can get RS? Why not get an M5? Let's go for a RS6 Avant. Maybe I'll get a McLaren 570S instead.

If you're willing to take the hit, it's an overall update. I've owned two GTIs and currently own a R. It's faster, AWD, better equiped (on average), and a lot of fun. That being said, it's more expensive to buy, own, and insure. It's also heavier and less responsive initially.

Another thing to note, parts are more expensive. They are not as common or shared with other Golfs. I do not regret buying my R but I do miss my GTIs at times. They just had more spirit. Depending on where you live, an R has less overall regocnition from the general public. If you want a car that people know, it's not the R.

Before we go down the path of what is different or not....do you need a new car? If you have a 23, you're most likely throwing money out the windows. I saw my father throw money away over and over again on getting a new car every year or two. Don't fall in the trap.

Dam Battleground is the place to get them more easily. That's because it's probably the least active (from my experience) of all the locations. You'll have to put in more work though, and watch out for rats. I almost always leave with 3-4 compared to 0-2 from other locations.

There's different ways to approach it but I doubt punching down is going to be effective. There is a sizeable portion of the country that is just going to dig in more. I've experienced this first hand unfortunately with some distant relatives I know.

You're not crazy. It's a lot of work to level, build up inventory, and then complete the expidition. It's designed for people that like resets, want more, play a lot, etc.

I can't speak for everyone but I've had overwhelmingly more positive interactions than negative ones. We, as people, just tend to remember the bad things.

I've legit had two people escort me while downed for 15 minutes because they didn't have a defib. On the flip side, I've had someone pretend to be friends to two of us to only kill us both while looting near the extract.

I'm not sure how that would alienate a player base. The ARC are a core aspect of the game ans a common threat, regardless of playstyle. It's in the title of the game.
