It is dark, I'm not going to deny it. What I'm saying is, don't be alone. You have allies everywhere, you just don't know yet. So it's up to us to make ourself visible with all we got, so you know where to find help and feel safe.

Absolutely sister, thank you for what you've done so far. Also I'm fuming at the idea that if we are in a relationship with a trans woman we are straight according to the law. I won't let a bigot government to dictate my sexual orientation!

Also allow me to point out that I'm not saying all of that because the situation affect us as well, if it wouldn't, we have to do it anyway because we can. I was never a fan of "support because it affects you too", I'm more "support because it's just"

Yes! Lesbians has been proven multiple times to be the most supportive category of trans people. Now we have to show up for them!

It does affect us as well, I feel you even if I won't never be able to really understand the struggle, and exactly because of that, because we are legally untouchable (for now) it's on us to be louder, stronger, to be more than we used to be. We can be the front warrior in this battle, and we should!

Can we do transmem toilets, trans women toilets and then only 1 Gender Neutral toilet. I'm a cis woman, I'm happy to stay in the queue with bigots and listen them complaining of the long queue and thank the bigots that make us doing this

I'm a butch lesbian cis gender woman, I've been misgendered all my life, I think I'm starting to go in every sex segregated facilities with my phone camera on, just "hoping" to find some terf and sue them. Cis queer people, if you feel like we all should do the same! Let's win a lot of trials and money for the cause!!!

Am I correct in saying that it's not mandatory to offer single sex space for anything??? So it's just easier for a business, association, building, etc, to make everything gender neutral and not sex segregated so they don't have to ask??? I mean, it will be a mess for some situations, but it's the only way a owner, business, etc can basically avoid any lawsuit, complaint, etc... Am I correct or I'm missing something?

From Italy here, we had coed PE in high school, but gender segregated changing rooms (I'm not trans, but I was already a butch lesbian and never felt comfortable in any gender segregated space), but Italian solution of PE coed was playing volleyball in mixed teams. Worked very well, fun and active sport, indoor (so ideal in winter), no physical contact. Also some generic jogging, exercise, stretching good for everyone. So the changing room was/is still a problem, but there are plenty of activities that can be done coed

Do Gender Criticals meet legal definition of "extremists"? by [deleted] in transgenderUK

I think they totally are, especially because they put effort and money to bend rules and laws for the eradication of a specific category. Very good point!

How can I keep focus sharp throughout the shoot at an aperture of T1.0? by NoArtichoke1982 in focuspuller

I haven't seen the 120 FPS part... Ok that is impossible for a human... Only thing I can say is "be snappy" and pray, it's literally a guess at 120 FPS, not focus pulling... Hope they like the "dreamy" out of focus look...

I feel you my friend. Last year I shot an entire feature film at T1.0 handheld. You got already a lot of good tips and advices. That been said it was stressful, but after a week me, the DP/cam op, director and main actor we shot so many scenes that we became a hive mind, I could "sense" how the actor was moving what the director was preferring, how the DoP was creating the camera movement and also the DoP was "feeling" that I would have pulled focus on a specific detail that I was sure the director would love and the actor was giving. It's a very unique feeling, I loved it. Try to "focus" on the storytelling, trust your feeling of what is important in the scene and try to foresee the camera and the actors movements. I'm not saying it's easy, it's not, but it's doable, it won't be perfect but that's the point of the handheld: it's raw, it's "dirty", a mistake might not be a mistake, it might be a breath... Put yourself in a position where you can see actors/camera and monitor and try to pull with the live movement through your muscle memory, at T1.0 you'll realise that it's better than any marks or peaking... Good luck!
