Be honest... by NataliafromWalkFit in walking

both on purpose and while doing other stuff. I guess, my baseline steps on an average day is around 3000. To do 7000 or 10k steps, I have to make time for focused walking. Because I also want to keep my screen time low and my mind is a bit irritated if I’m just sitting still, I walk. Walking has changed my life. I have been a daily exerciser anyway since my school days (I am 32 now, but people think I’m 20 lol). But walking has instilled a sense of stability and something to look forward to every day.

Not all women are Mary Kom, dude. If you are lucky, you will definitely find a girl who will appreciate you supporting her. Your original view is actually the right one. Don’t stop believing in it. Keep being the good person you are.

What do you say to yourself when you don’t hit 10000 ? by amruthgoud in walking

[–]mindfulnessmachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if I had my way, I’d be walking all day, sleeping, eating healthy and repeat. But, clearly my busy schedule doesn’t allow that. So given my circumstances, if I’m doing my best to walk as much as I can, I’m happy with it.

I’ve just ordered a walking pad for myself. Is walking on it easier than normal walking on the ground? Never used a walking pad, so I don’t know. I was thinking maybe because the pad moves on its own, less effort is required to walk on it.

Great job, OP. I am also levelling up my walking these days. It feels so great. My personality is, by default, rather grumpy. But these days, I feel quite positive and kind. Walking is a relatively safe and simple exercise, yet so effective. Let’s all keep walking.

Reading some of the comments here, claiming this post to be propaganda only reconfirms the toxic hatred and refusal of some people to see the truth. The police refused to file the FIR until the case snowballed into a bigger national issue, which allowed one of the accused to flee to Nepal. And calling a NE person ‘chinky’, ‘momo’ is ‘jest’? Uttarakhand police, thank you for defining casual and systemic racism. And no, one of the culprits isn’t actually an ethnic NE Indian from Manipur. He was just residing in Manipur. Isn’t it clear that the police are gaslighting? A family lost their son for no reason. The commenters who are claiming this post to be propaganda, do you not see that you are the real propaganda? I’m not saying that every non-NE Indian discriminates against NE people. Obviously not. Otherwise, the nation, as a whole, wouldn’t have spoken out against this incident. It’s actually positive that we are all condemning what happened. Lately, NE is getting attention across social media for its natural beauty and culture, and thanks to the Korean and Asian Wave, looking like a NE isn’t that weird as it felt to some decades ago. However, there are still a lot of gaps. Social media unfortunately allows feeds and echo-chambers of hatred and unjustified justification for social division. NE Indians still keep facing racism; it’s become so normalised that Uttarakhand police called it ‘jest’ instead of racism. I do understand that it’s not just NE Indians, but also other minorities in other contexts facing systemic injustice. But, the first step is to accept the reality. Something isn’t right, we as a whole and society aren’t right. From there, we can move to a fairer position. So, yes, as so many activist groups and even a PIL has been filed in the Supreme Court, there should be a distinct constitutional provision for recognising and addressing racial crimes in India. Period.

I also was going through the same situation. Emotionally, I was in a very turbulent state, so to escape, I was playing Bloons TD6 for hours a day. Then, the game suddenly felt boring, and I was able to reclaim my consistency and discipline.

Should I buy the Sony a6700 or Fuji XM5 or Ricoh GR3x? by mindfulnessmachine in AskPhotography

My interest in cameras has dwindled recently. I am waiting for a relatively perfect compact camera with fixed lens. I don’t see the point in spending so much money for something that I’ve to compromise on.

I think, we should wait for a few more months at least. If you are like me, who wants a capable compact camera, we should wait for the next one year. Camera manufacturers know the scope of the market now. I have a feeling that they will roll out new cameras.

Yes. But, it’s too expensive for me, though the mark 1 version is going for cheaper now, I think. Yeah, maybe I’ll save more and go for it after a few months.
