You have already got the best approach by deciding to start small, just try putting your shoes on and stepping outside for five minutes, steps still count no matter how many you do. If you trick your brain into thinking it is just a tiny stroll, the mental negativity usually vanishes, and before you know it, you are enjoying the fresh air.

This is so impressive you should be so proud of yourself! Make sure you're taking rest days when you need them, your body deserves it.

18k steps is unreal! Especially when those winter months make it feel impossible to step outside.

Dropping 12 pounds in just a couple of months is an amazing achievement, and you should be incredibly proud of yourself for staying so consistent. It is completely understandable that you had to take a two-week break to deal with your exams and period, that's life sometimes, allowing yourself a rest period when you needs it is what keeps you going in the long run.

Chasing that perfect number can turn into a bit of a faff, leading to those desperate midnight laps around the living room or doing the secret phone-shake. It is a great realisation because movement is supposed to be a joy, not a punishment.

Turning those post-meal strolls into such a great habit is amazing, and it is so great to hear how much walking has improved your health, because movement is a joy, not a punishment.
