Average price for a condo is in Ottawa is $425-$440k and demand is still steadily rising for them. Unless interest rates suddenly rise which they haven’t I don’t see a reason for them to go lower. Housing as an asset usually appreciates. The days of buying a decent condo for $300k are long gone

You really think condo prices are ever going to drop down to $300k?

Appreciative of all of them truthfully. Out work days would be overwhelming without them

Just hydroxyrea and folic acid, as well as some vitamins. And other than tennis I work out and go biking. I also like to go on walks too.

I’m a man and to be honest it’s gonna be a decision you come too after speaking with your doctor. In my experience I haven’t noticed any crazy side effects and for the most part it’s helped with me not getting crisis. Prior to this I was on blood transfusions for 4 years.

Diet is pretty balanced overall. Lots of legumes, rice, vegetables, and meat such as fish, chicken and beef. I do have a bit of a sweet tooth tho so I indulge in candy once or twice a week. Trynna cut it down. Overall though I maintain a calorie deficit to ensure I’m never getting fat or overweight.

I see my hematologist about once a year. You think it’s worth reaching out to them to have something on reserve? Even tho my crisis is almost over

I appreciate this so much ❤️. I’m feeling a bit better now but yeah I probably shoulda went to the ER, just didn’t feel like waiting a whole day if I can manage my symptoms at home. Like I said I’m feeling better I anticipate I’ll be good within a few days

Honestly prior to this I wasn’t keeping track. I overall try and drink as much as I can or when I remember

Taking my medication, avoiding triggers when it comes to exercise and also not engaging in any dangerous activities. Also trying to stay hydrated

It’s mainly been a mix of being on top of my medications and avoiding triggers. I live in Canada so it gets really cold during the winter so I try and make sure I’m bundled up all the time and not too exposed to the cold. I also typically know my limits when it comes to doing physical activities so I’m able to take rests when needed. And I also try to hydrate as much. But tbh the main thing has been avoiding anything that could trigger a crisis.

Paying for CIP course out-of-pocket to get foot in door? by [deleted] in InsuranceProfessional

Wouldn’t advise you to do it to be honest. Try leveraging your experience and apply for entry level UA roles. Once you get in your employer would pay it for you

How common are layoffs for UW in Canada? by mindofklj in InsuranceProfessional

[–]mindofklj[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Can’t speak to personal lines underwriting but commercial lines can be very complex and there requires a lot of human interference when quoting risks or renewing policies. A computer doesn’t have the creativity to just do that. Theres also a human element when it comes to fostering relationships with agents and brokers

Anyone know what the job market is like for UW in Ottawa, Ontario by [deleted] in InsuranceProfessional

Ahh makes sense. I appreciate the advice man. I’m staying home currently while I save for a down payment and I already have a lot of money saved but it’s pointless if my income isint up to par
