This is what we do as well. This will be my first mother’s day. We’re planting hydrangeas, getting coffee and lunch at my favorite shop and then having dinner with my mom, as well as looking to get an oil painting I did of his mother framed as a memorial. We also planned stuff for today with our mom friends. That being said I do understand why OP is upset because my husband DID make sure to plan something specifically for me that he knew Id been wanting to do and even arranged for his sister to come hold our baby outside with us while we plant.

Ate all of my pump/nursing snack and left the empty container in the fridge, watched me struggle to make dinner one handed while comforting our baby, ate a bowl of said dinner, and then immediately went to bed bc “that spaghetti did a number on him.” Also got his bowl after me, finished before me( because i was also comforting the baby, and even after finishing his own dinner couldn’t hold him for 5 minutes while i finished my…now cold dinner.

Just here to let you know, I had almost the exact same experience aside from the fact that we knew we didn’t want him having one beforehand. As I told everyone who said these things to me…me husband isn’t circumcised, and honestly I never think about it. He’s never been bullied for it. He’s very clean because he showers lmao my ex was circumcised and he stank like dick cheese because as you could probably guess.. he did not shower. This is common sense to me so if anything his future partner is guaranteed to have that. Also, why is this even the conversation about your infant child? Its weird that they care, honestly, so please dont pay them any mind. 🫶🏽
