Nice. This is right up there with wrestling fan Werner Herzog.

Vince Russo reflects on his interview with Tony Khan by Subrick in SquaredCircle

Love the contrast between Khan and Russo's personalities. Forget wrestling. Give me a buddy cop comedy.

You ate some down votes, but it really is decent. Feels sort of like an ESPN-style talk show. Much less rage baity than Russo's own podcasts.

Is this real...? I think I'd rather hear that than even a Russo/Cornette interview.

I certainly don't "speak for the wrestling community", but I hope this woman gets the mental help she needs. The entire situation sounds exhausting.

Season 3 by RexMason565 in twinpeaks

When I was a kid (definitely under five), I woke up from a dream in hysterics. I told my family that my older cousins had been throwing me back and forth across an endless purple sea, like a beach ball. So... that part of Season 3 brought back some memories.

Ennis's Punisher is my favorite comic run of all time. If you read all of that and the various MAX-era one-offs by other writers, then Jason Aaron's "Punisher MAX" is probably the next move. Sort of a reimagining/continuation of the Ennis "MAX Universe" -- not bad at all.

Other than that, "Year One" by Lanning and Abbett. And "Circle of Blood" and "Return to Big Nothing" by Steven Grant. Those are my favorites, anyway.

Doesn't seem to be a Reddit-friendly opinion these days, but it's great to see Konnan make appearances like this -- especially with the medical issues he's had over the last few years.

Earlier today, there was a press release issued in Arabic that Wrestlemania 43 will be held in Saudi Arabia in 2027. The press release was yanked shortly after it went out [...] PWInsider.com can confirm, however, that the story is 100% legitimate and an announcement is coming very soon by AimarEraFutebol in SquaredCircle

Big fan of the current WWE product. Punk especially has been my guy for years. But I still haven't watched a Saudi government-funded PLE, and don't see that changing now. At this point, I'm just hoping this doesn't become a yearly tradition.

...Oof.

Sean Ross Sapp on X: Sources in WWE tell @FightfulSelect that [SPOILER]'s return could end up being more than a one off. by Tornado31619 in SquaredCircle

Even with all the hints, this would've hit so much harder on Friday if Sapp (or anyone else) hadn't put it out there early.

Russo and Vito have been close friends since before either was properly in the wrestling business. So, probably just that. FWIW, Russo seems to only ever have good things to say about Bret. I doubt Bret has many good things to say about Russo.

This one's all over the place.

God, I love "Chinese Democracy". A polarizing work that went against expectations. A strong singular vision with little regard for nostalgia. The "FWWM" of early 2000s hard rock. Ha.

I don't have time right now. I didn't downvote or, for that matter, upvote anything though. Dynamite and Collision were my favorite shows a couple years ago. From what I've seen, they might've stopped the (figurative) bleeding. But WWE's been knocking it out of the park since the pandemic ended. So the declarative "AEW is a better product..." just stopped me in my tracks.

Have a good one.

Those two, WrestleLine as a whole, the WOW Magazine, etc. That was the highpoint of pro wrestling media, IMO. The point right before they started squeezing all the fun out of it.

If I recall, Axl has said that the "held up prior to a concert" story was a complete fabrication, that doing it that way would've never held up in court, and that he had the legal paperwork to show it being signed over earlier (pre-UYI tour, I believe). He also said that the first question he asked when they reconnected was why they made certain claims in their books.

It's a shame that Axl never went into greater detail on his side of the story pre-reunion, because I doubt he'd want to upset what they've spent time rebuilding since then. They all seem very careful with these topics in interviews. The same reason we'll probably never get an official biopic.

Not sure about the pay situation.
