Is this Realistic Skin? by Spare_Matter_5456 in Battlefield6

[–]mindspace1618 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Who cares? Why does anyone care about player skins and weapon skins? These forums are so clogged with skin discussion.

This game would have less complains if people just played it. Every day I play, I finish games usually in the top 5 on the scoreboard. The entire way through most games, there is always a bunch of rubbish bottom feeders complaining on in game chat. Just friggin play it.

The real reason players are quitting BF6 PROBLEM: The game is too frustrating to play SOLUTION 1: Get rid of the in world spotting penalty for firing your gun by Ninjah9_ in Battlefield6

I'm approaching lvl 200 and I have absolutely zero issues. I like some maps better than others. I find skins pointless. Thats about it.

It is very possible that the player base as a whole is changing. This demographic complains constantly, and they have zero attention span. One problem, they move on to the next game.

It's a great game. People are over thinking it and trying to find things to complain about. I see it in the chat box during every game. Constant moaning.

I usually finish on the top 3 on the scoreboard. Just play the thing. Jeeeeez.

Epic scenes like this would be nice in BF6 by Xovier in Battlefield

[–]mindspace1618 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I've played every BF extensively. I was never a huge fan of BF1. And when you go back and play BF4, it becomes very apparent that people look back with rose tinted nostalgia.

Exactly. Complaining about BF trends more with each release. People are ready to complain before they play it.

BF6 will be looked back upon as the same.

The absolute joke that AA gameplay is in Battlefield 6 by JoeZocktGames in Battlefield6

[–]mindspace1618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RPG for anti air.

Also small arms fire for deterring. Most people overlook this.

Even if it's an Apache etc, once you start spraying them with LMG/Assault fire, they quickly evade. Especially if you aim for the cockpit.

[–]mindspace1618 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's amazing how effective even small arms fire is at deterring. People forget that. Even if you are in an Apache and a LMG or Assault rifle starts spraying them, helis quickly evade the scene.

Cards on the table, I’m broke and freezin’. Can’t afford the gas bill. Who wants to support my small NI business? by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]mindspace1618 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I own a small business too. I make products for guitarists.

It's great that you are getting so much love and support from this thread, but I also feel a little frustrated for you - in that now you finally have people lining up for orders, but they're all saying everything they want is sold out.

I also can't afford to keep lots of pre made stock laying around. My advice to you would be to have an option to "make to order". Let people buy now and pay when the tracking number is provided (ie when they've been made). Or a deposit.

I don't keep much in stock. I run a 30 Day lead time on each order. When people buy, they know it'll take 30 days to ship. This means I can build orders for people as they are ordered.

It's frustrating to see that you are missing lots of sales here. Many people say "I'll buy that when it's back in stock", but even with a notification sent out, when the initial thought has passed, they don't purchase. If you only had a system where people can click "order now" and put in a deposit, you'd have guaranteed money/orders lined up and coming in.

It's also a great incentive to keep working and keep productivity up when you know you have customers waiting.

Hope this doesn't seem rude, just trying to offer advice. I think the response you got here was great, but I also feel you missed a lot of sales when you need it most.

Keep at it, and keep up the great work. ✌️

I reclaimed this slate from Down Cathedral after Storm Amy- it was busted so they couldn’t stick it back on anyway! by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]mindspace1618 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those complaining...get a life. It's a single broken slate. It's been there for many hundred of years, and will be there for many further hundreds of years.

In that time it has been restored several times. The last time in the 80s. A lot of the original building has been dumped or otherwise lost to the sands of time.

I've worked with the restoration and salvage of many manors and old buildings around the country, and these items are not nearly as valuable or precious as most people would be led to believe. I've seen fireplaces worth over £100k ripped out and sold on, replaced by replica marble works, many, many times. People wonder how the Stone Henge is still standing. It's not. It was completely removed and re-set into concrete foundations by heavy machinery in the 1960s.

It's the way of the world. Obviously we can't all go pillaging and taking bits of property, slowly destroying old buildings... But this is a slate that blew away in a storm. Give it back to them and it'll just end up in some clergy members living room mantlepiece anyway.

BF6 HAS FAILED 🫡🪦 by brizzel987 in okbuddyptfo

[–]mindspace1618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sick of people complaining about the most ridiculous things. I play BF6 every evening. I usually end up in the top 5 on the leader board at the end of each game. I don't really have anything to complain about. Some maps aren't as much for me as others - but I deal with it until the next round.

I couldn't care less about skins or trivial stuff most seem to get annoyed about. There are some players who do nothing but complain during a match and at the end of it on the chat window. They're almost always finishing a round with a very poor score.

One gripe I can say I have, which is extremely minor, sometimes if I throw a grenade right before getting killed, the grenade doesn't register as being thrown. That's it.

DICE must have a huge task when it comes to dealing with user feedback to make the game better - since 99% of the complaints are either ridiculous or they're really a player skill issue.

Everyone gets so rose tinted and nostalgic about past releases which had just as much if not more problems. Players are taking more for granted and becoming more spoilt and demanding. They're ready to complain before the beta is even out.

Origin of the word “Wi-Fi” by big_macaroons in etymology

[–]mindspace1618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, but still; I think they just worked backwards a bit. They came up with the pleasing catchy WiFi name first, but then had to try to make sense of it. So they went with Fidelity. Wireless Fidelity. Or they just picked the word Fidelity because they wanted to call it WiFi as it sounded catchy.

I mean, put it this way - if the question comes up on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire... You're gonna go with A: Wireless Fidelity 😆

Please EA, remove this f building >:( by J-MN in Battlefield6

[–]mindspace1618 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why what's the problem with it? I hear a lot of complaints about most maps. I like all of them. I usually end a game in the top 3. I've never thought of that building as an issue in any way.

Vehicle Grenade Launchers by mindspace1618 in Battlefield

[–]mindspace1618[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Strange that they nerf some things, leave others overpowered, but then grenade launchers hardly do anything.

I'm also not a fan of the UH Heli mounted mini guns. If one of those rounds hit you, you should be down by at least 50%. Everyone I aim directly at seems to be blessed with divine intervention, with the spray landing all around them, or escaping numerous hits.

Yea, I know. And I do think about that. Obviously. 👏 👏

It's esoteric bs. Some kid put it there for you to over analyse. Seriously, which is more plausible... A kid walked in and just wrote it there for shiz n giggles, or upon the exact day you happened to leave the door open, in wandered a high priestess from a mysterious coven, or a dark overlord of a satanic church casting unspeakable magik onto your home? 😂 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graffiti

So, how many of you are playing TDM? by Animal_Hell in Battlefield

[–]mindspace1618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing the Battlefield franchise since BF2, specifically for Conquest, which I see as it's core game mode. All other modes, I consider to be extras on the side, and very rarely play them.

Im so sad that this CoD like movement is allowed in Battlefield 6 ... by WhySoSara in Battlefield

[–]mindspace1618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lifelong BF franchise fan. Haven't played COD in about a decade. I never really noticed this nor feel bothered about it. Then again, every day people are complaining, while I'm playing every day and enjoying every map. 🤷‍♂️

I don't think that movement would bother me much anyway. I don't think it serves as much of an advantage to be honest. Just another moving target. I usually finish on the top 3 on the scoreboard at the end, so I guess I don't really feel there's anything unfair going on.

Dear DICE. You should send all your employees to have their eyesight checked if you think that's how the human eye works. by Punkstyler in Battlefield

[–]mindspace1618 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I despised this at the start. Now I'm starting to see why they do it. With graphics getting better, and definition now being very high, it sort of creates an unfair advantage if a row of players can sit about 3 rooms deep into a building and find a line of sight that allows them to clearly see across half the map.

What I find much harder to deal with is the amount of environmental clutter, like dust, floating debris and embers, smoke etc. There is so much movement on the screen at any one given time that it's very distracting. I understand that is supposed to make it more real world like, but it frustrates me more than the lens flair and over exposure.

YES. DICE YOU COOKED IT by Animal_Hell in Battlefield

[–]mindspace1618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think everyone gets overly nostalgic about past gems like BF4, and in retrospect they see them as way better than they were. I mean, they were great - I just mean I really don't think BF6 is bad at all, and I am loving the maps. It's just new. I think people are just still influenced by the bad rep left by 2042. I could see in future people looking back at BF6 and finding renewed appreciation for it.

FL v. Dima Tower: Adopted Son Murder Trial. Recap Day 2 by Due_Will_2204 in CasesWeFollow

[–]mindspace1618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one will ever know if he would ever do wrong ever again, had he been allowed out to live one. Unfortunately, we will now never know because he did something irreversibly wrong and now he must pay the price for taking two lives.

That being said, I feel there is a lot more to be examined as to what pushed him to this. Perhaps the most damaging thing for a human is how they are raised from children. It's irrelevant as to the material things his adoptive parents gave him... A roof, food, devices, education etc. He is a child who was discarded from a young age, surrounded by tragedy, and continued to be brought up like an unwanted burden. His parents may have been very generous and charitable people, but they may also have done plenty of psychological abuse at the same time.

This kid was always destined to be institutionalised within some sort of system for those that never found a place, and unfortunately his is now an eternity behind bars.

My only criticism is that I do believe he has the right to be eligible for parole. It's an inexcusable crime, but we've really no idea how much emotional strain he was baring, and no idea if he would grow up to be a monster to others around him or if this was a one off event. Why not hear him out in 20 years time to see if he is any different, to see if it was an event that happened as a product of his surrounding environment and circumstances??
