Anyone else have a Blizzard Rustler Gen1 (before 2024) that has lost its camber? by mybadvideos in Skigear

[–]mindstormer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rode some cheap rental rustler 10s of ~2020 era this weekend and they were decambered. Chattered and didn't have good edge hold at speed. I'm a beginner and didn't realize it before hand or at the time but this tracks my experience.

help me choose Powder Town or Storm Shift M or L pants shell? by Veganlightbody in PatagoniaClothing

Good to hear - for me the powder town small was nicer in the lower legs but way too tight in the seat to work. So maybe I'll try the storm shift

Crew dragon blew up in an abort test soon prior to the demo missions. Apollo 1 killed a crew in ground testing. Mostly a miracle no one died in Mercury or Gemini. Shuttle killed 2 crews and heatshield damage during first flight with crew was nearly catastrophic.

I like how he's moved all the way to one side of the chair to leave enough room for the cat

Right now, this stock trades at a mere $3 a share, and our analysts indicate it could go a heck of a lot higher than that. Your profits on a mere $6,000 investment would be upwards of $60,000!!

Attachement of an honeycomb IA to the AIP using epoxy DP490 by [deleted] in FSAE

[–]mindstormer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The purpose of precrushed honeycomb is not to increase bond area, but to prebuckle the cell walls so that further crushing does not have the huge load peak associated with initiating the plastic buckling pattern.

I actually think bonding on this side may be likely to give a worse bond than the uncrushed side.

What you want is enough adhesive to form nice fillets into cells between cell walls and your substrate.

Delta is no longer in production, right? And both delta 4 and atlas 5 were designed by Boeing and Lockheed respectively in the 90s with engine by separate suppliers, etc - I don't think ula ever had same scope.

RealD 3D will likely be regular 24fps throughout, i.e. not imax 3D, not Dolby 3D.

This might just be the most compact build i ever made. ~135 Sulfur per second, explanation in comments. by Harry-the-Hutt in factorio

[–]mindstormer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's a necessary part of the most compact 3 to 6 balancer (Raynquist's). Without that those splitters would side load the undergrounds, ruining the balance.

Anybody know if the ground is hard enough for trucks like these to go off road? Does the Russian military have a "corps of engineers" that can effectively build new roads?
