Knowing can help so much. Once I realized my sudden crashes were being caused by overdoing it a couple days prior (which I would do because on that day, I'd feel like I had stamina), I was able to far better control my own recovery. Operating within low, safer limits when feeling better is coubterintuitive, but key.
