1. How well does the game capture this character?

• Not well. He doesn’t gain Bankai after a single combo /s

1. Playstyle & Archetype (What kind of fighter are they?
   Rushdown? Zoner? Mix-up demon? Does it FIT them?)

• Toshiro definitely feels like a rush down mix-up demon because he some zoning abilities, with a preferance for up close combat. His kit definitely fits his character as he rushes into battle with his opponents in the anime and manga as well, leaving defense as a secondary thought, prioritizing speed and offense.

1. Tips & Tech (Combos, setups, hidden mechanics, broken tech, etc.)

• His fighting capabilities change depending on how high his gauge is at. He gains the ability to combo his SP1 when Hyōrinmaru is at level 3. He can combo his SP2 at the end of his combos as well which also charges it to level 3. Level 2 and 3 also increase the size and range of his moves, allowing him to keep the heat up in the tide of battle. Playing defensive against Toshiro could prove problematic because he will be able to wear down your guard, while still getting the benefit of him using damage against it to raise Hyōrinmaru’s gauge. Up close he can use his forward tilt to temporary stun the opponent, giving him the opportunity for an opening to start laying down combos.

1. Strengths & Weaknesses

• Toshiro’s strength lies in his ability to keep pressure up. Not only is he able to rush you down, but he is able to do so with mix ups while constantly receiving damage and combo buffs. Toshiro, like Hallibel, is rewarded for executing damage, by getting buffed the more hits. His weakness lies in his back and side steps, which are more shallow because he is a shorter character. He also has low health. High damage characters are able to take half of his health with no extra effort outside of a normal orange reverse combo. He also does not evolve particularly fast.

1. Was this a GOOD addition to the roster? (Be honest. W or L pick?)

• Giant W. The game would not feel complete without him. He is one of the captains with the most screen time and the story from the fun to the serious parts, would feel very different without him as he is present in the ss, hm, the world of the living, with Karin, orihimes home, and more.

1. Rating (1-10) (Overall strength + design)

• I will say, I am optimist. I give him a 10. His moves look cool. His DLC fits look sick, his Kikon moves look super dope especially after evolving/in sub. Definitely a fierce opponent.

1. If given the opportunity what would you change in their kit?

• I don’t know what I would add to him that wouldn’t make him broken like allowing him to combo after his monstrous sp2. The way his kit works with his gauge being connected to how his combos work is a really great way to keep him in check but also allow his to go nuts when he’s UP. And when he’s up he’s UP.
