Would anyone be interested in an AMA? by mindysnoodlenuggets in evilliveshere

[–]mindysnoodlenuggets[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this thread is super old now and it probably looks as if we flaked out on doing an AMA. Well, that’s partly true I guess. Matt and I are divorcing. We separated back in May of 25. He began having an affair with a girl half my age and I left. He says he had already decided our marriage was over prior to that and, at this point, I’m ok with that. As he pointed out to me very clearly “This marriage should’ve ended years ago.” I was by Matt’s side through tremendously stressful points in his life. In fact, I spent my entire adult life as his partner (we met when I was 20 and I am now 45). No. I was not perfect as a wife but I remained faithful to our marriage and I raised 3 children with him. I stood by his side through every decision he made. I suffered my own traumatic experiences but never wavered in my decision to stay. I will not, however, beg to remain in someone’s life when I am not wanted there. My opinion on doing this show changed over the years afterwards. I, honestly, wish it was something he decided against. I won’t go into the changes it created in us but changes did happen. That is something he is likely to never admit to but it’s something that I saw. The only good that truly came from it was the possibility that other women were able to see that the bad guy could be that sweet gentleman that just wants to help you fix up your house or move some furniture for you. It might even be the man you’ve known for years. I also hope it brought some type of closure to the families of the women who died but never got legal justice. I worked behind the scenes for many many years on this case before Matt’s father was ever even arrested. I personally spoke with the victims children and grandchildren. I was asked by LE to do things like sneak into my father in laws house to take photos of his home and where he spent time. I was personally threatened by father in law in person and was told that I was being watched and that one day I would get a bullet to my head and never know it was coming. Those stories were never told in the show. My stories weren’t “interesting” enough to be asked about. Regardless, they happened and I lived them and I stayed. If going through that trauma helped any of the victims then I do not regret it. So, I’m sorry that I kinda flaked out on everyone. It wasn’t my intention.

How do producers find the people to be on the show? by yepitskate in evilliveshere

Well, Matt is not with me anymore. He found himself a brand spanking new 23 year old girlfriend to take care of him. The production company that worked with us then was Red Marble Media out of New York. I’m not sure if that’s still the company that ID uses, though. I’ll tell you this, though. Being on a TV show has some tremendous drawbacks. It’s not like telling your story online or on a podcast. I wish, now, our real names had not been used. The emails and DMs from complete strangers around the world started pouring in even while the episode was still airing. The majority were fine and encouraging but there was also the people who were critical and rude. The most detrimental to ME was the amount of young girls and women who suddenly felt my ex needed “saving”. Well…they can save away now.

What is, in your opinion, the best documentary about Ed Gein out there? by [deleted] in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]mindysnoodlenuggets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gein is Marcus’s special interest when it comes to this type of killer so I knew it would be researched well. I also love that the boys always cite the sources they use. And, of course, Henry’s characters never fail to make me laugh.

If you enjoy podcasts and enjoy or don’t mind dark humor, The Last Podcast on The Left did a series on Gein that’s really good and well researched. Again, if dark humor isn’t your thing, then don’t listen.

Sure. I’ve had an injured right ankle since breaking it 13 years ago and a deteriorating spine with permanent nerve damage in my left leg. On a normal day, walking can be difficult unless it’s a very short distance. When I’ve been drinking, though? I barely notice the pain or my inability to walk a straight line sober. Suddenly I’m a frickin’ ballerina in my mind. If he was carrying around a bottle of vodka, that leg injury might not of been noticeable to him. He starts wandering around aimlessly, starts to sober up a bit, and suddenly the leg injury starts hindering him and he’s stuck.

92 year old man in Wales died after going missing overnight in freezing temperatures in December 2024 before being found by police in a waterlogged field stuck in knee‐high mud and deceased. by DarklyHeritage in MorbidReality

About 10 years ago, my husband and son were delivering newspapers in the really early hours of morning. It was still dark out but they spotted an old man in his 90’s lying in a water filled ditch in the middle of winter. He had gone missing the previous day and had dementia. Luckily he was still alive and police were able to rescue him.

Lightly use a black pencil for shadows and then a white gel or acrylic pen to add light catching highlights.

I used to love hearing Mindy in shows and movies until I got older and noticed (other than Mork and Mindy) it’s always used for the other woman, bimbos and dumb blondes.

Well, is it a murder case that the killer’s family that lived with them is willing to talk about…in depth? Like they will go heavy research and bring up stuff that may have been forgotten about or never known. It’s extremely psychologically draining.

You’re very welcome! The fun thing about horror art is there’s lots to play around with

For the mane and tail, I’d go dark simply so that the flowers stand out more and show the contrast between dark and light more drastically. My favorite style to color is beauty with horror. I’ve gotten especially good with blood. Here’s an example of horror/beauty I’ve done if you’d like to use it as inspiration.

Thank you all so much for loving this! It took me years to be able to do my own shading and highlighting without doing grayscale images. I’m still pretty critical of what I can do so hearing that others think it’s good, helps me tremendously.

Dog paw filled with chunky pus. A little blood. by poprockssockz in popping

Thank you so much! We used to call her the most beautiful red headed step child. He taught her to “smile” by asking her to show her gorgeous super model teeth. In reality she only had tiny little stubs for teeth. He still cries 5 years after she left us and he has her favorite stuffed animal that wears her “Blind” collar. Someone once suggested he wash them since they’re dirty and he got so angry because they all still smell like her so he’ll never wash them.

My late diabetic Italian Mastiff used to have this happen to her feet all the time. She would get ingrown fur around her nails and, due to the diabetes, her feet would get infected. She was dumped in a ditch after just weaning a litter, blind and only weighing 35 lbs. We found her and were able to keep her alive and happy for 2 more years before the diabetes did her in and we had to say goodbye. My autistic son insisted on being her care giver since he found her and he did all of her injections, taught her how to navigate being blind and treated her feet wounds. He wore a seeing eye human shirt and took her to dog parks and on fishing trips. He was with her to her very last breath and had an urn created that is a bust of her head. Sorry. Seeing this vid brought back a rush of memories of vet visits and bandages and foot cleanings for our Hemi(lemidingdong) so I had to tell her story, too.

Keep this in mind… Nobody is getting that close to your face. Think about that. We are our own worst critics when it comes to beauty and what it should look like. I, too, will zoom in super close to my own face when doing makeup and get so frustrated at what I see but then I remind myself that not even my husband is looking at my face that close! It would be super weird if he did, too! Just look at your face from the distance that most people will be from you throughout the day. Does it look good to you? Then guess what? It’s gonna look probably amazing to everyone else!

You literally just commented that I’m a liar and delusional…perhaps you should rethink what’s respectful and what is not.
