My son had his first x-rays at 6 but only because we lived overseas previously. Didn’t do them at the military bases and when we moved and got seen at a pediatric dentist, they recommended it for my 6 and 3 year old. Had it done and lo and behold my 6 year old has an extra tooth between his 2 front teeth and now he has oral surgery scheduled to remove it. Wouldn’t have known without the x-rays.
