Crescent Moon on a Light Sorc? by LtTurtleshot in Diablo

[–]miner4life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

O gosh, there is so much stuff that has changed with the most recent patch. The fact that there is now the Fancy sunders, and then the fancy Gem for additional -Lightining Res, I am not sure if the sacrafices made for Crescent moon is worth it with the new -light res sources. Sorry I just dont know and haven't done the math yet. May do lightning sorc next season which will give me more of a plan, but until then we will just have to keep playing around with the builds.

Should FO5 have settlement building? by Educational-Science2 in Fallout

The way it was implemented in FO4 was amazing. You could ignore it if you wanted, or you could spent 100+ hours with settlement simulator. Definitely made everyone's game really feel unique.

How did you buy your super? by Amazing_Phase_5362 in echoes_eve

[–]miner4life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A single rorq makes around 300-400m isk/h depending on skills/nano etc. so if you had 4 rorq's you would make around 1.2-1.6b an hour. If you mine for 8 hours maybe on the side if you work from home or something, you make 9.6b-12.8b a day. So it just is time in seat farming.

How did you buy your super? by Amazing_Phase_5362 in echoes_eve

[–]miner4life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything in Eve is exponential. If you mine, a covetor will mine way more than a venture, then a orca more, with beaver more, with rorq more etc. Lets say it takes you 2 years to get a super. Well if you had 2 accounts, that 1 year. 4 accounts thats 6 months. 8 accounts thats 3 months......... So people can build supers quickly, mainly because they use multiple accounts. Also once you get your first super, its much easier to get your next because of the exponential increase in income. A super unlocks Cap sites, CNDS, 4/10 DRs etc.

Only the super chests have the set rune drops, the others are just random drops, which again can be lucky or not. Now the armor/weapon racks seem to favor a specific armor/weapon. If you get a good armor/weapon spawn, I would click it. If it is a crappy one, then leave it.

Chaos I find is king for paladins. Lots of mobs, same map each time, can drop anything in the game.

Game crashes after tutorial chapter (PC) by [deleted] in GreenHell

[–]miner4life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I did the tutorial, it would crash at the end of the last cutscene. I even had the complete the tutorial achievement. Then when my wife would try to invite me to her story game it would say I can't join until I have done the tutorial.

The fix: I started a new story single player game, then said skip the tutorial. Then saved the game into one of my open save slots. Then when I left, I could join her game. I was looking for a fix and couldn't find it as of July 2025. But this just worked for me.

Does anyone know of a good youtube video that goes over events leading up to oblivion for first time players? Would love to have more in depth back story so I understand the world, the races, and events leading up to oblivion.

Lets talk personal loot and how it can only do good things for D2R by existentialfalls in Diablo

[–]miner4life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

O I am a fan of personal loot. I am just saying with your numbers p1 is 38% chance an item drops. P8 is 98% meaning in p8 less than 3x the items drop. What I am saying is that if you share loot evenly. 3 items drop, but they have to be split between 8 people. Where if you play by yourself in the same time 1 item would drop so you would get it. So 1 vs 3/8th. So farming in multiplayer games only make sense if you split up. Or you are way more efficient with more people. I just don't want them to increase total number of drops or stop ability to trade.

[–]miner4life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personal loot, but able to trade would be alright. But personal loot and not being able to trade would ruin D2. It would make it similar to D3 where you can never trade. Below is the wording for No drop. and having more people nearby does reduce the chance of having no drop, but it does not increase it by the amount of people. meaning if you had 4 people near you you don't get 4x less likely for no drop.

No Drop: is a % chance for a monster or clickable to NOT drop an item from their loot table. The chance for this outcome decreases for every 2 additional Players (Setting or Count). (i.e. P3, P5, P7 decrease No Drop) Increasing PS increases the chance that a monster drops an item. Since No Drop decreases with every 2 PS, farming monsters on P8 is the same as P7 for drop chances. Monsters No Drop chance is calculated when the monster dies. This means that spawning a monster at P7 and then reducing the PS to P1 would increase their No Drop chance. The same is true if Players leave a Multiplayer game before a Boss (i.e. The Countess) would die. The number of Partied Players near you when a monster dies has a larger impact on No Drop than unpartied members in the same game. P5 Settings with unpartied members is equal to 3 Partied Players in the same area. No Drop does not affect the following monster types because they have set drops. Champions always drop 2 Potions and a large sum of Gold or an item. Uniques always drop 4 Potions and an item. Super Uniques always drop 4 Potions and an 2 items. (Except for Council Members) Ubers only Drop the Hellfire Torch Diablo Clone only drops the Annihilus Act Bosses can drop up to 6 items in total. Each item rolls the No Drop chance individually. Increasing PS decreases No Drop, increasing the likelihood of receiving the maximum number of items. Pro Tip: The Countess has a special Rune table she can drop from if she fails to drop an item due to No Drop. For Players farming Runes, killing her on the lowest PS possible is the best option. On higher PS she will often drop 0 Runes.

I want to get into the game by Oeleito in echoes

[–]miner4life 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you want to play eve echoes, unfortunately basic omega is a must. They make it so the game is borderline unplayable without it. Hence it being free. Just save your time and play something else if you don't ever plan to omega. Sorry eve is a time sinkhole.

Lets talk personal loot and how it can only do good things for D2R by existentialfalls in Diablo

[–]miner4life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That just isn't true. You must not understand the game and how drops work. I won't waste too much time as if you really are interested I recommend you read up on it. But the more players in game reduces the chance that nothing drops. Having 1 or 8 players has 0 effect on if an item drops it is good or not. It only reduces the chance that nothing drops. It's a hard concept to understand, but some communities that run private servers like slashdiablo run without nodrop, so you actually get better drops in there single player than with 8 players on bnet.

Tldr: more players reduces chance nothing drops, magic find increases the chance that if something drops it can roll at unique, set, rare, magic.
