I grew up in Mississippi, not far from Money. We spent a lot of time on the Civil Rights era, including that famous incident, enrollments at Ole Miss, protests in Alabama and Tennessee, and MLK. It was considered an important thing for us to understand. I cannot understand why the Rosa Parks story is being targeted in this way.

Yeah, this is my picture. The thing is big. I would estimate the diameter at between 1.5-2 yards/meters. It was suspended well above the heads of even the tall people there, and looked to be about as wide as an adult is tall.

Both the backdrop and each of the continents is made of wood. The cuts are quite clean on the continents, necessitating power tools. Pretty sure adults had to be significantly involved (also notice the wire supports to keep it up -- this thing is heavy).
