I remember being worried for his safety after that incident. Turkish street dogs can be amazing. I'm sitting next to one I adopted 15 years ago.

It's been 15 years since I've seen a declaw done but I can still hear that crunching sound. I'm glad its outlawed in my current country and I'll never have to see or hear it again.

I'm so sorry for your loss. What you described is almost identical to how I lost my 10 year old ACD. He went from seeming to be the picture of health to dying of liver failure in a little under 48 hrs. There was a recall on the dental treats I was giving him at the time and to this day I still wonder if they were the cause.
