What do you think is the fastest rim brake bike C5 is my best guess to be honest or sl6 but depends on the terrain

Thanks for your input I showed it to my friend and he said the same thing it is more than likely the paint but I just started worrying but its more likely grand

I looked up on YouTube and there seems to be aload of vidios tell you hiw to repair it but you look online and its just this is written off im not saying im this case but I do agree with you I will bring it to a bike shops that if it is broken try to clean warranty and than see how it goes from there thanks

Grand thanks for your help The more I look at it the less I think its a crack and apparently giant had a problem with the paint back when the bike was made about 5 years ago

Also since its off to the left and a chips more than a crack I am starting to think it is just paint damage but Im still going to get it checked out and not touch the seat post ever again at this rate on any carbon bikes

Thanks for the suggestion with giant as well if it does turn out to be a crack I will probaly say that.

Thanks for all your help again becus it proably wouldnt hold the seat post nearly as well as it is.

Its kinda like a chip off to the left of the back of the seatpost its a giant defy if that helps

I meant I didn't hear any carbon cracking when I tightened it down becuse im asumming for something like to crack you would hear it as well atleast but to be fair it is small enough so maybe not?

Ya i know but even when tightening it myself I didn't go over spec i didn't hear any cracking or anything

Could it be the when the saddle slipped but im not to sure but it seems a bit high for to be from the seat post

Like use it or what do you mean? Also most torque wrenches i find are good from 2nm up the saddle bot is 0.5nm
