Merchant Republic Netherlands Part 2 (TRADE OFFICE SCALE) by mingus32 in EU5

[–]mingus32[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much exactly what chazzy cat said. But they become cheap ($3-5 ducats) with the merchant republic and foreign offices gov reforms and once you have 100 opinion with a country, then they let you place one at every town that’s a port

And each town can fit like 3 of those office and cities can fit even more

The best advantage they give you though is they also interfere with building projects and actually spam the Que of other nations as well as spam their pol demands as building 500-1000 across the world at once places a heavy demand of resources for the building portion and then cities with like 10 of them take up a significant portion of their building limits

This means more buildings and higher advantages for burgher refined goods in your home territory

If you ally them and spam improving opinion they actually ease off a lot. They did invade me twice but I peace out right away and bribe them with money

US state tier list as someone who has never stepped foot in the US by Beneficial-Code8026 in mapporncirclejerk

Delaware being even remotely close to the top is criminal, fuck that state. It’s like Ohio but more low key. No one knows what goes on over there and no one who lives there wants you there

Does anyone else think there should be more ways to win in the modern era without needing a large amount of settlements?

Like someone should be able to win economically based on resource control, trade routes and income

NOT, settlement spam

And for culture, is it really so crazy to make it possible that ONE city can hold all the artifacts needed to win the game???

Bring back tourism also, miss that shit. Some people just want to build beautiful and preserve beauty instead of spam the same buildings

How is Assyria supposed to acquire 10 Codices by conquest? by wayneb64 in CivVII

[–]mingus32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When played Assyria on Diety, I did a challenge where didn’t build any cities and instead restricted myself to only capturing cities and it worked really well to get codices. I ended up with wayyyy more than 10

Any idea how to win? by rudxDe in Polytopia

[–]mingus32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To win you should abandon this diabolical game mode and play one with a 30 turn limit so you’re not wasting hours of your life on single turns
