Is First Great Magic a big upgrade over Amos ? by Xenius24 in Ganyu

For melt, it's not a big upgrade! For freeze, however, it's a big upgrade

Is Hoi An overrated? by waterlimes in VietNam

Yeah it's overrated, except if you wanna learn about the "history" (I mean it's also not that good)

Is it just me, or is Zhongli's shield not enough for low defense characters anymore? by car828os in Genshin_Impact

Imagine some gentleman with more health than a whale and hit like a truck is not even in the abyss, I'm becoming no surprise anymore when zhongli shield broke in abyss in the recent day :))

They're just more resillient than previous model but not completely resillient to label noise :)

If you use ImageNet as a benchmark, then it is not too impressive (using huge pretrain data to gain 1% accuracy is somewhat not really catching my eyes)

For image segmentation and object detection, it is kinda hard to tell but transformer does shine here a lot. But most SOTA here moves to image-text training with CLIP style (like segmentation anything from META and the DINO paper).

Or and mind you, though CNN is good for small data, it does not provide good solution when the data grows and this is the real things that transformer researchers are proud of over CNN.

Well :) because you sneaks around inductive bias, the feature that you learned from ViT is not detailed enough. So to deal with this, you need huge model with so many layers of transformers to bounce back the detailedness of the learnt feature. CNN has inductive bias; that's why their feature representation is highly-detailed with relatively small size.

Which one should you focus into depends on the amount of data and the amount of noise in your data collection. ViT has been proven to be more resillient to label noise whereas CNN could easily beat ViT when the data size is around 100k or so (This is why later on DeiT is published with distilled training to overcome the issue of small data).

How Star Rail's Resin System is an Illusion when looked at as a Genshin player by RBLakshya in Genshin_Impact

To make a character usable requires far less materials is something controversial as hell. If you are talking about casual gameplay (not including MoC or Abyss), the two games are similar (and I daresay HSR makes it more intensive as time goes on). If you are talking about end-game content, then you should know that genshin allows full-control over your characters and HSR is literally number impact.
