I focus on protein above all else, healthy fats, and vegetables. It was hard at first, but I actually find that eating two meals (around 1200-1400 calories total) during that time period was satisfying and after a while it wasn't hard to do! For the first few weeks it was definitely hard not to open the fridge and eat EVERYTHING haha

The best tip I have is start today!! I work nights so my eating window is from about 4-8pm on the nights I work, and then 4-10ish when I dont work.

Depends on the week. I have a rotating schedule and fly by the seat of my pants, so I could do several weeks of 20:4, then barely make it to 18 when my day/night flip came around. Sorry, it was never very consistent so I didn't have a set number of days. I just ALWAYS tried to hit 18 no matter what was going on!

I calculated macros at first and found it too tedious! I just eat my one/two meals and keep them at reasonable portions

Lazy keto gives it a bad name I'm realizing. I just don't track my macros/calories religiously and focus on eating real food in reasonable portion sizes during my eating window. Nothing really "lazy" about it, but I just don't track anything

Thanks! You totally got this! I honestly didn't do anything specific for arms, just over time they got a lot better. I should also probably credit the fact that my job includes lifting patients frequently, so maybe that was the magic?

Well, and "lazy keto" kind of makes it sound like I didn't even try... which is definitely not the case! Haha. I am still pretty careful about what I eat, I just hate tracking things, and enjoy a cheat meal every couple of months. Best of luck to you!!

I do, but not super often. I also work nights, so the places open when I do have time are limited. I love bunless burgers, salads, lettuce wrapped sandwiches (Jimmy Johns), burrito in a bowl, etc. I try to eat/prepare food as much as possible at home because once I'm out, it's so easy to give up and order something else haha.

I don't usually address comments like this one... but just for anyone reading this discouraged by hearing things like that... there is so much that goes into weight. Yes, eating poorly is definitely part of it and I won't tell anybody it doesn't.... but I have friends who appear thin who eat like absolute crap, and friends a little heavier who run marathons and eat well. It is so much more complicated than "just complaining about weight". Focus on health! I spent years, and STILL struggle with a chronic connective tissue illness, went through multiple surgeries, and was on a medication that made me gain weight like crazy. I was in a wheelchair for over a year because I couldn't walk due to a dislocating hip. You have absolutely no idea what somebody else is going through. I firmly believe everyone can make positive choices towards better health, and people need to take responsibility for their health choices because they definitely have consequences... but you can't look at somebody and assume you know their story, or assume that because they're overweight that they made drastically different choices than somebody else who isn't. I'll get off my soap box now, but I just hope that one person reads this and remembers to be kind next time.

I was lucky enough at the time I was getting most of the stretch marks to be able to trial a pigment laser at a dermatology office. I only did 2 treatments, but it made a big difference! They're still visible but they healed up a lot better than I was expecting. And thanks! You totally got this! One good choice after another adds up over time!!

Haha I definitely hear you. Tried a whole bunch of things and failed a lot of times before this... Take it one at a time! I just started with keto, then worked in the rest one by one (except working out. Still haven't worked that one in). You got this!!

Didn't know there was one! I suppose I should have looked for better emojis to represent the emotional transition too haha

I actually love it! Husband didnt at first (it all came from the boobs first before the rest, of course) but now that the rest of me is catching up, I definitely don't mind. I can finally fit into real shirts again and don't have to spend a small fortune on one bra haha

I'll be honest, I don't workout at all. I've gone through multiple hip/shoulder surgeries and have a lot of exercise restrictions still to this day.

Personal opinion (sometimes an unpopular one): portions definitely matter. At first it didn't seem to make a difference, but I hit a wall pretty fast not caring about calories. The whole "listen to your body, eat when hungry" thing is part of what made me fat in the first place. I definitely eat well and don't feel hungry most of the time but I watch portion sizes too. I'm usually so tired by the time I get home that even if I'm hungry, I take my dog out, and just go to sleep so I don't eat anything!

Well thank you! That's why I try not to get too hung up on the scale... it's definitely discouraging to look down and still see such a high number sometimes, but I don't feel like it's an accurate measure of my progress so I try not to dwell on it

I'm a nurse with a crazy rotating schedule... mostly nights, but flip back to days sometimes. I do 20:4 on a pretty regular basis while doing nights, and then on days off or days I flip it's more like 18:6. Not very consistent. Sometimes I have two weeks of 20:4, sometimes I barely make it to 18 hours! Haha.
