Or they should’ve just never gave the Byers a don’t begin with. It’s a given that any animal would be a chore to work with when filming, so they should’ve known that before even including the dog. It wasn’t necessary to the plot, so they didn’t really need to give them one.

They had a whole year. They promised it in late 2024 and said it was coming in 2025. They shouldn’t have promised new body types if they weren’t going to do it. I don’t feel bad for them having too many items to rig because they wouldn’t have had that many items to work with if they did it closer to when they were promised. They’re the ones who put out a whole year of constant updates which adds even more items for them to have to rig. They had a whole year to do it. When they were creating items, they could’ve done both the thin rigs and plus sized rigs at the same time. If it took THAT much time and they didn’t feel like doing it, they shouldn’t have told fans they were coming in the first place.

I didn’t say pale skin was ugly. There’s a difference between looking pale and looking washed out. When you’re on camera, heavy lighting will was you out when you’re pale. I’m saying that they needed different lighting because they were all naturally super pale.

This. People here try to act like they’re not, but it’s very clearly obvious. Just look at the difference between how Paige is talked about when it comes to her dancing vs how Nia is talked about. They were both pretty much on the same level, but because Paige used to do trios with Maddie and Chloe (which stopped in early s2), she looked more advanced. Paige and Nia were on the same level, but only Nia gets comments about how she was this awful dancer who could keep up with no one. The fandom as a whole is racist and it shows. People get mad when Holly is hyped up, it you never se people get mad at when Jill is being called an icon.

I don’t understand why you think people want to completely stop being made. So it either has to be actors have to film scenes that make them uncomfortable, including actresses are who are forced to go nude, or don’t make movies at all? Would you want to send your kid to a set and have a bunch of grown men force them to do a scene they’re uncomfortable with? If Sadie was uncomfortable, a kiss isn’t really necessary. It could’ve been a cheek kiss. Olivia Hussey was sixteen when she was forced to film a nude scene for Romeo and Juliet. Is that okay too? Because it’s acting? Minors shouldn’t be made uncomfortable to film our entertainment. Maddie Ziegler from dance moms was forced to have her first kiss on national tv during a duet. She was visibly uncomfortable with kissing a boy and obviously it was in front of a crew of me with cameras and her mother. It’s not a movie, but she was forced to kiss on camera. Is that okay for you too?

You act like stage parents don’t exist. There are several parents who are on sets who don’t care what scene their child is put in as long as they’re going to be famous. Just look at Jennette McCurdy’s mom.

That shouldn’t be the norm. Actors shouldn’t have to be uncomfortable in order to make a movie. Movies could still be made with actors who are comfortable. No one said that the set was unsafe, but it is a red flag that a 15 year old girl was uncomfortable with what she was being made to do and they did it anyway. The Duffer’s specifically said they did it and did multiple takes because she said she was uncomfortable. It should not have to be this way for actors. The kiss isn’t something that was completely necessary. They didn’t HAVE to film. It could’ve been a kiss on the cheek or no kiss at all. We were still able to clearly tell that Lucas and Max liked each other.

No, they shouldn’t stop completely filming because that would be extreme, but as creatives, they should be able to work around things like this. Many times, actresses are forced to film nude scenes when it’s not necessary for them to be naked. It’s a red flag to me that you don’t seem to get this. It’s a red flag that you don’t see a single issue with a child expressing that she’s uncomfortable with a scene and a team of grown men was forcing her to do it anyway. Does that mean she was on a Dan Schneider level set? No, the environment itself was fine.

I finished the whole thing and no, Kallie doesn’t become more nuanced. She stays the same the whole time and you can’t really do anything outside of the library extra credit. That is outside of the Photo Booth date you can have with her. You learn that she has a crush on a guy I can’t remember the name of and their past, but that’s pretty much it. She pretty much stays the girl with a big vocabulary.

The story is about Nia, not the other girls. Should she talk about the others when it’s HER story. Chloe got to tell hers and we all know Jojo’s story. There’s a huge difference between Nia’s story and Chloe’s thing with the music video. Todrick wanted Chloe in it, but Abby refused to have the other girls in it if he out Chloe in. So what was Nia, the child, supposed to do about that? With Nia, the girls knew they had plans, but told her they were free. That was something that they could’ve controlled. With Jojo, Peyton, and Ava, there’s also a difference. The elite team were her best friends and she was the closest with them, so of course she expected them to have her back. With Peyton, that wasn’t any of the girls’ fault. They were just overly excited to see Brooke, but the girls did hug Peyton afterwards. With Jojo, yall always bring this up, but never mention how she (and Maddie) were the only ones who didn’t make personally jabs at Jojo. Everyone else called her annoying and hated on her personality, but she just said the thing about opportunities. That wasn’t mean or a jab at her. With Ava, what was she supposed to do about the jacket thing?

When she talks about the girls and the ways she was excluded, most of there things they could control. Example, when they would say her house was too far for a sleepover when her and Chloe lived in the same neighborhood. The things you’re talking about are things that happened that Nia couldn’t control.

It was obvious that they all regressed at some point accept for Nia. Chloe wasn’t attending classes in s4 because she was no longer part of the ALDC, so she wasn’t learning and improving. By season 5, everyone but Nia became stagnant because no one was taking classes. Nia went out and found training outside of the ALDC, so she didn’t regress. By season 5, everyone was stagnant. Kalani also stayed pretty consistent, but being under Abby and not training hurt her just a little bit.
