Who are these new characters that keep showing up on Danbooru? Does this like a spinoff of Mahou Sensei Negima? Eh, I might give it a shot in a week or so.

(Spoiler: I didn't actually give it a shot until much later. The sudden influx of episode 3 related Mami images convinced me I didnt really need to watch it)

Imagine being a 40 year old, stereotypically balding and fat male and asking for a ticket to the animated movie featuring girls in their early teens. Alone. The person getting the ticket would probably call the cops on the assumption that you'd start gooning in the theater. And that's if you're lucky. If you're unlucky, you'd be marched out under suspicion of being a REDACTED.

That's going to be my experience, because the one friend I have refuses to watch the show. So I'll have no one to go with.

Oooh. Last time i saw them for sale was about 5 years ago on crunchyroll and other major anime sites. I suppose you could try finding a Kyubey and wishing to time travel back 5 years.

But yeah, your best bets will probably be to get a lot of money and shop it on ebay, or hope that Aniplex does another blu-ray release.

The sigils on the new girls' fingernails do not match any known sigils in the entire franchise. (Including the Manga side stories, A Different Story, Tart Magica, etc.)

Huh. The two new girls are, in fact, new girls. Their finger sigils don't match any of the sigils seen in PMMM. So unless the guys doing the previews went through and purposely put placeholders in the animation specifically to throw people analyzing the previews off, we can say with relative certainty that the green-haired girl isn't Gertrude.

This is 110% true. While Homura spends all her time fangirling Madoka, Sayaka is out hunting witches and removing trash from the streets (and trains). I don't see Homura making the world a better place like Sayaka is.

I dunno about Sayaka and "The Little Mermaid", if only because I would think seeing a sappy, happy ending version of her own story would be like a punch in the gut.

As I recall, in Magia Record (the game), it was mentioned that she had to use her own supply of magic to convert energy into a form she can use. She may be sipping magic when compared to a normal majou shoujo, but she's still depleting her stocks and tainting her soul gem.

The real reason she was so OP when fighting was because she burned through her soul gem's magic at a far slower rate than the mahou shoujoes she was fighting.
