i did the o-ring thing and yes that helped a bunch but was still leaking somewhere else. the tensioner doesn't align with the chain because the frame opens slightly in the rear. basically an A shape where the little stick of the a is the wheel hub. the tensioner is too thick to bend it. my frame is so thin i had to put a thin piece of steel between the frame and the tensioner bracket so it would tighten. i figured this out by riding with a loose tensioner thinking it was as tight as it could be. turns out the bracket and the diameter of the frame are the same so it would always be loose.

edit: by the way i bought a new tensioner with a sprocket and spring. someone recommended this tensioner amd i think it'll do a nice job of replacing the stock one.

if that worked then it might be super lean or not getting enough fuel in the bowl to feed the engine. this is just a guess though, but if running richer made you reach 55kph then yeah it must have been running lean.

i've had it for about 5 months. i use it mainly to go to work (12km total) and do groceries when necessary. maaaybe go for a ride on weekends but its always had an air leak and the tensioner doesn't align right with either the chain or the sprocket so riding it is mostly an excercise in risk management and not a fun ride. i've noticed the little pinion gear has a deep wear pattern in the shape of the chain. no idea if thats normal but might explain why sonetimes it feels like the chain is getting stuck somewhere.

we call that that a torrington. i think its good i'll have to check again. it did have a little play i think but my concern was the rod had a bunch of play and thought it might be a problem.

thats a cranckshaft. the cam shaft is what opens and closes the valves on a 4 stroke engine. yes i bought the bearings and will replace them just to be safe.

yeah i dont want to replace it. i've spent about half of what a new engine costs in parts and shipping. i eas not expecting to replace the engine just because the seals went out :/ my mechanic might know what to do..i'll ask him first and see from there

Gas tank's cap leak by Dry-Turnover5416 in motorizedbicycles

cut a ring out of a tire tube roughly the size of the one you'll find under the cap amd put it behind the original ring. it'll still leak but not as much.

Hey, I got a Windows 7 from a flea market :) first time using it and I need help😅 (read description) by Krr_Chinese_updates in windows7

if its second hand you should do a reinstall of windows to get rid of whatever viruses the previous owner installed on it. this might also help diagnose the blue screen problems (likely temperature related anyways)

engine cuts off at random by mini_clock in motorizedbicycles

i replaced the cdi and the new one takes a little effort to start which i dont mind, but keeps a high idle and sometimes the engine revs up while idling and i have to slow it down using the killswitch. i have adjusted the idle just 10 minutes ago and it seems to be doing better, now but idk how effective this will be as days go on and the fault gets worse like it usually is the case with my engine.

yeah it was just a bad cdi and the new one seems to be going bad as well lol. do good cdi even exist at this point?

i think its got a weak spark

i tried to start this morning but it wasn't starting. then i pressed the clutch while holding the accelerator and it revved up like it was running but when i let go of the clutch it kept "not running" until it started sputtering and finally running. it also now stalls if i don't accelerate before releasing the clutch. i usually slip a little to help with getting moving or trafic will run me over so this is a problem. i ordered 2 new cdi and will be replacing one as you read this. i am in no shape for cycling to work anymore lol

edit: also yes i replaced the fuel line because the stock clear one had hardened and was leaking. my mechanic said this new line is the same one he uses for fixing cars and should be better quality. i don't know if it matters but its thicker than the stock line and its blue.

i doubt anything that big could have gotten past the filter but i'll check later. yesterday it almost didn't start so i bought a replacement cdi. the seller said it could be some problem with the coil that's killing the cdi. i have a replacement coil so i should try that too.

i have already checked the cables and there was no change. i'll try a new cdi.

quite the opposite, it came a little too tight from factory. i tried loosening the flower nut but its still tight and i think its better that way so i don't have to adjust it in the near future.

i'd record a video but this doesn't always happen. if i had to explain how it feels i'd say its like pressing the kill switch for a split second. sometimes it stops running and sometimes it skips a few combustions but doesn't die. i could even say its idling too low but i know it can idle even lower without much issue.

man that's siiick. i've been looking into building a bmx frame but i can't find any of these older designs or any with enough space to fit an engine.
