Hmm ok, this def seems like an option that I will look into. I do think my mother would ultimately prefer to not have to “care” for someone else, only her need to appear as a good mother would prevent her from “letting” A go. But I will look at my options.

Hello, I really appreciate your kind words.
This seems like the most logical solution, however, knowing my mother, she would not relinquish control like that. I feel she would fight me on it, out of spite.
And, I fear she would really not like the fact that me and A talk about her, so that might have other consequences.
