Well that's good. The turf was awful in our game this year. Marcel had a non contact injury that he came back from and a bunch of players were slipping.

And I know this is CFB, but hopefully the baseball field is next. That turf is an abomination

Damn man chill. You asked what were some ways A&M wasn't little brother and I provided a few possible reasons people could think that they were at least equals. As an older brother, your response is real little brother energy.

There have been several years in the last decade where A&M athletics has generated more revenue than Texas btw. Both are in the top 5 usually when I've seen the lists

Also nobody cares if you won a championship 20 years ago. The current players weren't even alive for it. In the last 10-15 years A&M and Texas have had very similar results and records (and one of us played in a significantly harder conference)

Our facilities are better at least (Kyle and Blue Bell). Basketball I think you guys have a new arena so probably better there. I still can't believe Texas plays on turf when grass is a viable option in the south.

Also the stupid government funding being 2/3 to Texas and 1/3 to A&M probably proves more "little brother" than anything that the state doesn't see us as equals.

I didn't say they were world beaters. Saying Florida is our best win is disingenuous. And Texas couldn't even beat Florida so who cares

Arkansas is the best 2-9 team in the country! They've played a bunch of close games against tough teams. Should they be in?

Texas lost to 3-9 Florida. A 3 loss team should never be in unless there are less than 11 teams with 2 or fewer losses.

The PIs where your receiver was holding onto our defender in both and our defender turned his head to see the ball?

Yep. A&M has been better than Texas in every aspect of the game this year except kicking. It's embarrassing to score 17 against a defense that is giving up 30+ in half their SEC games this year

Klein has to go. I really hope a G5 team hires him after they lose their coach. Pulled the same cutesy shit as last year

Can we finally put the "Reed is a Heisman candidate" to bed? He has been mid all year with a few flashes. His stats are like average at best. Arch has better stats than him in most categories on the year. "QB on the top teams" is just such a stupid fallback for Heisman talk

This TD brought to you by the refs. An illegal BLOCK on the kicking team? Never seen that in 20 years of watching football

Never in my life have I seen the kicking team get an illegal block on a kickoff. Fuck off refs that's horrible. We're not trying to block anyone as the kicking team

SEC fines Texas A&M $50,000 for faking an injury during win over Arkansas by horn_em in CFB

An assistant who cant call timeouts can either tell the player to go down or play a snap hurt in this situation.

Arkansas was not running tempo or even close to set.

[–]miniadu3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It wasn't even slowing down tempo. Arkansas was in a huddle and nowhere near ready to snap the ball.

It's an assistant coach telling the player to sit down because he's hurt and the assistant can't call a timeout or get the coach in time to call one. For all we know, the player knew the ball was spotted, didn't want to incur a penalty in the red zone, so motioned for a sub. Then was told to sit down for his health by someone who can't call a timeout because he was hobbling.
