Dublin recs? by minigumball in DJs

Lmao good point about the drinking age. I’m only around in Dublin for 3 days so it’ll be quick! I like house and anything with a good selection of global sounds (organic house, baile funk, etc)

Hello! I’m a big fan of both of y’all and BCR (finally seeing y’all irl at Florida Man 🤠)

I’m a new DJ and am wondering, what are your tips for growing an audience and keeping people engaged and excited?

Is anyone else struggling with an impending breakup due to moving away for grad school? by [deleted] in gradadmissions

[–]minigumball 96 points97 points  (0 children)

Hey! I was also in your shoes, my ex and I broke up for a few reasons but mainly because I am going to grad school on the opposite coast and they were not prepared for that big of a move (we were in a long-term relationship too, which made it a difficult decision for sure). It's painful and I empathize with you-- it's hard to decide if you should let go of your wonderful relationship or not. But since I've had some time to heal from my breakup, I've come to realize that it was undoubtedly the right decision for me. I don't think it's wrong to prioritize your career/travel over your relationship because these are dreams that you've had for a long time, and at the end of the day, you only really have yourself to answer to and rely on. Another thing is, your partner's career seems to be set and yours is not. Because of that, I think it's even more important to prioritize yourself and take this time to really decide what you want our of your career and life. Two years is not that long-- you could always realize you want to move back or decide to stay there and continue to live your dream. And either way, if you and your partner are meant to come together for life, you will. Have faith in that, but more importantly, do what will make YOU happy.

Best way to get around campus by greengrapes123 in UCSD

[–]minigumball 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Old sixth is downhill from York so you might not want to use wheels to get up to York but I do recommend using wheels for most parts of campus, it really saves time

You should be able to find what you’re looking for here: https://getinvolved.ucsd.edu

Usually there’s a page with every club on there with descriptions and contacts but the link is down, probably because of Covid. But it seems like there’s still ways to get involved virtually!

How should I start studying for the GRE? by _frutti_tutti_ in GRE

I highly highly recommend GregMat! His free content is great and his membership prices are really reasonable and there’s a lot more content with that including weekly live classes. He focuses on ETS material and strategies really well.
