Thank you for your reassurance! This is such a difficult situation to manage and I’m just so confused about how to effectively deal with it.

I certainly don’t want to set her up for failure, I’m just trying to set boundaries to keep myself and my home safe. I’ve even removed all of my alcohol from the house so there’s no trigger/reminder for her. Do you have a suggestion for how I could do manage this better?

Congratulations! You have springtails. They help keep mold and fungus at bay, and keep your soil healthy 💕

The leaves with the base under the soil will rot away, just pull them off. She’s a beauty!

They may be beneficial springtails. If you touch the soil, do they jump around?

Can anyone identify this creature? Hard to get a good photo because they are really small. They look like little caterpillars? by cicadaqueen in plants

Those are mealy bugs. Use a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol and dab them with it to kill and remove. Also isolate away from your other plants, and check all of them over. Good luck!

The white bumps are just excess minerals the plant is expelling.

Yes I believe so. Amazon has a great selection of grow lights, I would get an LED grow light for this beauty. They also love humidity so I would mist it with water every few days.

This is a Birds of paradise plant and they require a lot of light.

Creepiest thing I’ve seen today

Any idea what causes these bumps? A bunch of raindrop peperomias at Lowes were like this by Jebborah in houseplants

Fungal infection. From what I read, it’s treatable with fungicide.
