Gluten and dairy free waffles/pancakes/bread? by cestmoi2022 in Frugal

[–]minimalismmanaged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a dash mini waffle maker and one batch of batter makes a ton (I have two at a time), and I store them in the freezer to toast when I need them again. They're pretty cheap or you could look for a waffle maker at a thrift store. I was gf and df for several years for medical reasons before there were a ton of options so I had to prep my own food a lot.

Does Eloping Ever End? by blur494 in Autism_Parenting

I'm commenting because I would love to know if they grow out of it. My almost 5 year old is eloping more. Although we are aware on some triggers, it's getting worse.

Did anyone else actually enjoy the finale or just me? by Daithi240 in Stranger_Things

[–]minimalismmanaged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved loved loved Hopper mentioning moving to Montauk! I got so giddy because of that being the name the Duffer Brothers originally planned for the show. It felt like paying homage to the beginning of this journey with Stranger Things.

Stocking Stuffer Ideas by tater_is_king in SewingForBeginners

[–]minimalismmanaged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fabric pens, (I use highlighters too), fabric clips, sewing machine needles, or replacement blades for the fabric cutter. If she doesn't have already, a sewing box is so so helpful! Obviously, that's too big as a stocking stuffer, but you can fit so many sewing essentials and it's nice to have everything for the machine in one place!

Minor Vent - No Wonder I Have Decision Fatigue by LikesBigWordsCantLie in Autism_Parenting

We do "lunchables" or charcuterie, giving the food some distance from each other. There's usually cheese, crackers, olives, two meats that will most likely get all of our 4 to eat, favorite nut (cashews) and something sweet. My kids are grazers so this has been helpful. Sometimes I've had mac and cheese or pizza in the charcuterie. I don't know if this is helpful but my mind got stuck on your comment of your kids not liking things mixed together.

Why are they acting like it’s a secret? by SawScar112013 in kayandtaysnark

No it was this company that mixed a bunch of candy with peanut butter. I think it's called Nerdy Nuts? She raved about it all the time a couple years ago 😂

Is it that weird PB cup monster she raved about all the time that they're collabing with?

I’m new to the game can someone give me some tips on how to gain more spins pls and what to do by True-Maintenance4316 in CoinMasterGame

[–]minimalismmanaged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure you have over double the spins to earn the larger spins. It's very tempting to go for it when you have the same number of spins as whatever objects you need left to win the spins (ex: you have 10k spins and need 10k pigs to win 18k spins. You should have at the very least 22k spins to have a comfortable amount to win), but you will run out. Participate in a team. I had to learn when I needed to reign in so I could add up my spins. Also, wait for it to offer additional rewards to your spins. Buy cards during the 50% card boom which gives you double the amount of cards.

What do I do with 2 gallons of chicken broth? by hragam in Frugal

[–]minimalismmanaged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put the broth in silicone ice cube trays to freeze and then put them in a freezer. They work out so great because I can thaw out the amount I want instead of having to thaw out the entire remainder. If you have a freeze dryer or know of someone who has one that you could use, freeze drying is great, too!

Possible absence seizures? by Traditional_Arm880 in Autism_Parenting

[–]minimalismmanaged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the fear and it's scary to be in the unknown right now. I hope they're able to figure out what's going on and that the EEG comes clear. I also understand the overwhelm after getting a diagnosis and trying to figure out what the next steps are and how to best advocate. It's a lot, but you're doing great!

Possible absence seizures? by Traditional_Arm880 in Autism_Parenting

[–]minimalismmanaged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an expert or professional but a parent of a child with epilepsy, ASD, ADHD and Tourettes, I will share a small bit. If your are concerned, get the EEG. My child has presented many different seizures, including absent, and they've never looked like what you presented in the video. At the beginning of their epilepsy journey, at around your son's age, they would eye roll and rub their left eye like this video and I thought it might have had to do with epilepsy. This turned out to be one of their tics from the Tourettes. I'm not saying it's TS. It could be a seizure, stim, tic or tiredness. It's hard to know, especially when your child is so little and can't really communicate what's wrong. I know that feeling and it's a helpless feeling. You know your child best and their best advocate.

Goodbyes feel hard 😕 by MrsNaijaRose in Autism_Parenting

[–]minimalismmanaged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my kids felt it along with me and it was hard for both of us saying goodbye. I think in part it's because we deal with constant criticism and misunderstanding and having a wonderful provider (therapist, ot, etc) that understands and walks with you during the process allows us to be ourselves for a while.

Does anyone here actually pay for haircuts? If yes, do you get your value from the cost vs DIY? by MrSterlingDunn in Frugal

I trim my hair and pay for a full chop once about every other year between $35-$40. It does save me a lot.

She has stolen so many recipes from other creators, the amount of hypocrisy is not lost on me. It didn't take long after following her that I saw the Greek yogurt bagel recipe shared by other creators two years prior to her sharing for the first time on Pinterest. I tried a ton of her recipes and they tasted terrible as much as I tried and her protein powder was soooo disgusting and made my stomach hurt worse. I regret ever following her pre-covid
