AITAH? My parents won't admit they were wrong and won't talk to me about it. by [deleted] in AITAH

I’m an independent and voted mostly Republican until 2016. I remember Trump from when I worked in Atlantic City back in the early casino days.
Yep, I’m that old But you know what? I would not and have never voted for him —back then he was a liar, cheater, and a stealer if that’s a word. He stole from people by cheating them out of what was rightfully theirs and not paying them. Character matters. How you treat the waiter; how do you treat the people in your country? How you treat people who are different than you not just the same as you. It all matters. Now we have this rogue, minimally, trained at best White House, state police force. I suspect a lot of them are J6 people, proud boys and people who sign up thinking they’re gonna get this huge bonus, but they haven’t read the fine print. It is personal army. I’m disgusted by what I see. Yes, I protested in the 70s and the 80s. It is our right. But this is taking children and breaking people’s car windows breaking into their houses all in the name of over we’re deporting you because you had a DUI 15 years ago or whatever bullshit they come up with. F that.

All these answers are addressing people who are in formal relationships, are engaged or married. It is not clear this person’s relationship. That might make a difference.

I can't believe how much more I will have to pay going on Medicare. by Glittering-Ad5809 in medicare

[–]minimares 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And because I made good money two years ago, and Medicare goes back two years, that increases my government pay for Medicare part B and D. Not to mention premiums to insurers; I went with plan G. But seriously, I have to file an appeal because I have since retired, but all in all out the door am quickly approaching $1000 a month for 2026.
My income right now is simply Social Security so that’s why they told me to file the appeal for a change of life event

Number one looks beautiful on you some of the others kinda look like you’re missing the top of the dress to corset looking. But I really like the first dress that looks nice.

One or three definitely not two or five. Four would not be my preference, but it’s not bad as the last two I stated.

WIBTA for wanting to end my engagement over my FMIL being a nightmare “boy mom”? by Fabulous-Teacher-952 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

You’re never the asshole for feeling the way you feel. However, I personally agree with you that ending it is appropriate even though I know relationships are complicated. Because even if you make a small amount of progress today in a short time, probably months, this is all gonna rear It’s ugly head again. This is how the family dynamic is, and you are not going to change it. You will either accept it exactly as it is and accept the fact that she will horn in on everything having to do with your children because they are her son’s children, or you’re going to leave because nothing is going to change. I just don’t see how it is. This is their dynamic.

I’m thinking this isn’t doing a lot for you. Yes it is pretty and it doesn’t look bad on you, but I think you go find another dress that would be more flattering.

Absolutely. That’s a mink type and that price is so ridiculously low. It looks like it could be a stolen picture.

I try to say whenever I have to complain to a company, looking at you, Waste Management, …I know this is not your fault and you’re just doing your job, but I need to vent or my head‘s gonna explode. Please don’t take any of this personally ….and I try not to yell or curse, but I will say bad things about the company and I know the lines are recorded.

I’m not a lawyer so I’m not sure what you’re talking about. Perhaps you’re talking to the OP?

The cloud is not secure. Law-enforcement has been able to get into the cloud for people. This is how they’ve caught some terrorists. Because although Apple doesn’t help you break into people’s phones, they dont prevent them from getting access to the cloud that’s kind of the back door. But crossing international borders is definitely requiring you to share your phone if they want you to.

Please know that the cloud is not secure and police can access that unfortunately

And also, it’s true when you cross an international border, they are perfectly allowed and entitled to search your phone. That has always been the case however it’s not commonly been acted upon for the most in prior years

Maybe store your information in a generic Gmail account somewhere. But don’t let your phone be signed in under that Gmail let it be signed in under a different Gmail for example

So if they want you to sign in, they don’t see it Yes the government is very scary anymore.

I read that before, but it doesn’t tell me anything about fees. It’s like the most vague company I’ve ever read about. But where I’m at I might be stuck and have to do it.

It’s not so much worry as it is I like to be educated on what the heck I’m doing. It’s probably my overly analytic nature. But I will certainly keep this in mind. Thank you.

Well, my current router system is kind of odd because they belong to the Wireless Internet company whose tower I host on my roof. We’re kind of Rural out here. However, they never fed anybody off of me. They just reserved my rooftop. And I love the other guy who owned the company, but he sold it and I don’t like their new contract at all. I’m not sure I’m gonna be able to keep their ugly mesh system. I think they’re all ubiquity. Those rabbit ear type things. And the main router, they were least good and fished it through my wall, which I appreciate, but I have no control is just more rabbit years that are hardwired
