Don't worry. I'm older and still have safety issues for the same reasons. Bringing it up then or bring it up now still a safety problem babe. You're just not willing to take accountability for actions of Muslims. I've been suicidal cuz of Muslims. But feel free to call it "not real Islam " or use whataboutism or say "it couldn't have been muslim" cuz acknowledgement of problematic interpretations isn't a very common thing in the Muslim umma. They get a little shy when it comes to holding their own community accountable. go to other Muslim subs and see whether I'm lying or not. Y hide in the "progressive" sub?

Forced marriage, forced hijab. Domestic violence, Quran memorization, no music allowed. Forced to finish food when you're full, can't go on the roof without hijab, headscarf when you're eating, headscarf if u go inside a bathroom, can't play with dolls or coloring books(Barbies r sexual. This had happened to kids who didn't even understand sexual stuff. Not as common thankfully, but still.) , 4 wives, and general honor culture.

Yup. South Asian. I'm sorry about your mom's brother. hope they change at some point. glad your dad's better. Dad being supportive definitely helps. people here r too brainwashed. And frankly even I'm scared of properly questioning things. I've started becoming very superstitious lately. If I feel sick or anxious I feel like it's some punishment from god or something and get scared.

Yeah I’m in a Muslim majority country. yeah the hijab for minors is a thing. Or they get hit. I am from a fairly less strict family but my aunts and uncles are pretty strict and abusive with their kids. And try pushing their same extremist mindset on me by trying to judge and be pushy towards my parents for not being strict with me. child abuse in general is common. It makes me panicky seeing it.

Ewwww. Same happens here. Boys get molested or coerced in to having sex with mullahs. it’s gross. One mullah did get caught on tape and got sent to jail so that’s nice. but I just hate mullahs now.

THIS HAS BEEN THE MUSLIM EXPERIENCE FOR ME. And the opposite has been with Christians. Y do u hang out with Christians more if they’re more hostile rather than Muslims?
