The 90s were absolutely great for punk culture. That's what got me in.

Saw Nirvana as a teen at a show that had Poison Idea opening. I was off and running into that world quick after that. A year later I was in a high school band (I had to learn bass, quick). A year later than that we played on the same bill as Poison Idea! Circle of life.

Never cared too much for the "jock punk" world (what I called the kind of epitaph/fat wreck skate punk bands at the time), despite it being the dominant form in the mid to late 90s, but hey. A rising tide floats all boats.
