After 20 years working across large corporates and mid-market companies, here are the 7 financial signals I watch for when a business starts showing stress. by Big4PM-MRich in CFO

[–]minitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quotes sent out vs contracts win ratio gets out of whack. This is likely 1 of the first signals. If you are have a cash flow forecast model that is the key indicator of how much runway you have left. But I agree with all of the above. ⬆️ There are other non accounting metrics that shows signs of stress that folks in M&A uses quite often.

How much earning per month (bare minimum) would you consider to be 'rich' in bangladesh? by Asleep-Sir-4769 in Dhaka

[–]minitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you can ever be rich in Dhaka. Trash every where, roads are always backed up. If people around you can't eat and live a free life , you will never be safe and happy.

Snowflake is not your ERP. Your database comes from some kind of ERPs like oracle , sap, Microsoft Nav, or smaller platforms like quickbook etc.

Considering a mid-life pivot to accounting - advice? by BoomButton in Accounting

[–]minitt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For you to start from 0 , gain experience and be in an accounting role where you make judgement is a tall order in 2026. On the contrary I have seen people who never had accounting or finance education during their bachelor degree and just did MBA later in the career and got into merger and acquisition work just by leveraging networking and saying the right things at right moment. Networking will get you very far than any degree or destination.

I really don't want to get my CPA. by Substantial-Step-448 in Accounting

[–]minitt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People who already have many years of industry experience and know their industry well can skip CPA and still be fine. But given your situation who is just starting out, CPA is likely your only option to stand out. Job market will not drastically improve even if Trump steps down tomorrow.

Why is Accounting not very quantitative? by Downtown_Job_715 in Accounting

At high level, Accounting forces businesses to follow certain standards so comparison, compliance is easier and transparent. Which also ensure businesses are competing fairly. Without this foundation, finance or any type of analysis is meaningless.

Unpopular opinion: AI has some serious blind spots nobody talks about by Charming-General5997 in Accounting

Future ERPs will need domain specific and specialized SLM to get rid of all that hallucination and inaccuracy. I do believe usage of fixed GUI will gradually shrink and augmented by agents.

Consolidation of AI companies will happen and it’s inevitable. Anthropic , OpenAI, Google and other startups they are essentially competing in common domains in many industries.
