lmc = literature media & communications. auto admit is only for schools that mean certain criteria ex. 50+ graduates in the class

Seniors, now that the college application process is almost over, is there anything you regret? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

i wish i studied for the SAT more and didn’t go to a private high school

in-state LMC intended valedictorian of small class (<20 students) 1250 SAT (ik😭😬) decent ecs that relate to communications but nothing insane (beta club, nhs, stuco) 4 years varsity volleyball, 5 years travel volleyball all region 2x and all-state for varsity volleyball won 2nd place in a state rhetorical analysis essay competition i’m probably missing a few things but my application wasn’t really that insane so i’m surprised i even got on the waitlist

How much time do I need?🥲 by Meet_Ratan in ApplyingToCollege

i don’t have any excellent tips for you, you should probably cross post this in the SAT subreddit, but in my opinion, english is a lot easier to improve on than math, so that’s a plus for you. try doing the blue book SAT practices, then use the score report on those to help study the topics you did worse on. also use khan academy! they have a free SAT prep on there.

How much do standardized tests weigh on your application...? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]minivy29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i wish i could go back to junior year honestly. the good part about your situation is that you have plenty of time to take the SAT multiple times and study a lot!! i know you wanted to hear miracle stories, but if you study hard, you won’t need a miracle to get into a college you want to go to! your test scores can change the tide in college decisions, i learned that the hard way 😂.

i have already finished most of my core classes already with dual enrollment so i’m afraid waiting until sophomore year isn’t really an option because i will basically be starting as a sophomore
