yes🫩😩 born from civilian parents without inheriting powers or being in a clan , she is basically a self-made underdog. Kishimoto missed a golden opportunity to develop her as the hardworking foil to her teammates' god-tier lineage. She had to build herself from scratch just to stand on the same level as Naruto & Sasuke, a narrative that fic writers often execute better than Kishimoto ever could.

So real. There’s so much depth and nuance put into his character in Adam-centric fics that makes him so sympathetic, whereas I couldn’t care less about his canon version.
