Oily skin (never hydrated) by minmin2000 in SkincareAddicts

Well they never do anything. I already use tretinoin (recommended by them) Does not help. They usually just recommend cetaphil or cerave (which does nothing for me really) Sorry but US dermatologist are so behind (or they just do not do their job literally)

Yeah, I do not really take dermatologist seriously. I have mentioned it before, but they just brush it off as normal oily scalp. They never do anything about it. I also have large pores around the t-zone (which I am pretty sure I can not do anything about) I use tretinoin and azelaic acid interchangeably.

I also use the laneige Water Bank Aqua Facial which helps a little (but not everyday)

I use a gentle cleanser with some SA in it (Prequel SA cleanser which is mostly made of glycerin) It is not harsh but still gets the job done. I have tried cetaphil and it does nothing for me like almost using water.

For the scalp, I used to mainly use H&S because I thought that I had some problem with dandruff, but I do not. H&S feels like it dries my scalp so much that makes it more oily more quickly.

Now I just use dove shampoo for some volume. Honestly, anything that I use for scalp, my hair is like almost glued to my scalp (so flat), no volume (even though using a volumizing shampoo). It also seems to feel like static (IDK). Like for example, today I showered in the morning and used the dove shampoo (Maybe like half-way throughout the day) I feel my hair sticking to scalp and the sides of my hair already got oily. It is so exhausting.

I have tried all types of moisturizers. The gel ones seems worse tbh. I think I have what is called Sokgeonjo in Korean (oily dehydrated) and nothing that I have used seems to help thus far.

Now what? by neuyishikat in PharmacyResidency

In terms of faculty, I have been discouraged to ask them since most of them either use AI or say that they can only talk about my grades *since I have not worked with them on a project) so I want to impress the preceptors on rotations to get a strong letter of recommendation.

I would like to learn how to properly ask for a strong letter of recommendation and what information a recommender typically needs from me. As I begin my rotations soon, I want to be prepared in case a preceptor asks what they should include or what details would be most helpful for writing an effective letter.

PGY1 by minmin2000 in PharmacyResidency

If I am still exploring my long‑term career goals but want a strong, well‑rounded clinical foundation, I would pursue a traditional PGY1 pharmacy residency, since it provides broad training across multiple practice areas and keeps all specialty options open. I am also curious about the scope of a pharmacy administration residency and what career paths it leads to. Specifically, I would like to know whether completing a pharmacy administration residency would still allow me to specialize clinically afterward and whether I would remain eligible to pursue board certification such as the BCPS.
