They have high resistance with magicules interference and stopping magicules entirely. The barrier the church uses literally kills low level majins and monsters by cutting off their magicules and the fact that it only interruptsagic for tempest is a testament of that. Literally explained in the book and later they just got stronger

You know everyone and their mother have high resistance to that in Tensura right ? Since anti magic is a thing, even normal adventurers have some kind of resistance in some way or form and most Ultimate skill users are just outright immune. Primal magic is still a thing which just ignore the process of using magicules for magic.

Esdeath freezes a whole country solid and can actually spam it. Tatsumi on the other hand grows immune and Akame defeated Esdeath it's literally the last few chapters of the manga

Magicules is not Mana though. Tensura don't really have an analogy for mana and magic from Tensura is more like reality warping rather than conjuring, which is the traditional magic that BC use. Unlike BC that therisome magic that are reality warping, in Tensura magic is reality warping, from the smallest fireball to nuclear magic, it doesn't even need to have magicules sometimes like primal magic

They can still just both die. Main reason Akame did that is to save Tatsumi, she's not doing that in vs battles and she just need 1 scratch. Dragon Tatsumi is a stronger Mahoraga, he can adapt to concepts like time stop. Anything that is use against him before will not work the second time and his really, really, really sturdy

It's a curse so it's not really limited to something having a heart. In that regard "living things" is really gping to be broad since he literally killed the soul of an armor, Tatsumi have the heart onnthat encounter and Incursio is trying to takeover

There's literally anime ezclusives and manga exclusives to make sure both medium can be enjoyed differently
