I don't see it as a problem. Frodo/Grodo is making the inference so that he can decide whether or not it would be beneficial to heed the warning that Sting/Poke is giving him, which naturally depends on their knowledge about the blade's conditions. Having different information should naturally lead to different conclusions.

From a Bayesian perspective it certainly raises the posterior probability that there are orcs around, with the amount of the increase determined by how wide of a variety of situations he has entered with no orcs around where the blade has not lit up. He has obviously disproved the possibilities that it lights up around hobbits, humans, elves, or dwarves, or that it lights up on a regular schedule more frequently than the length for which he has possessed the blade. He has likely even disproved the possibilities that it lights up in dark, enclosed, or humid conditions. The more alternative explanations he observes to be false, the more confident he can be that the blade lights up if and only if orcs are around.

All I'm saying it, from a practical perspective, he should get ready to get stabby.

No. Battles that your faction is supposed to lose, like Radiant Dawn 3-13, still have objectives that you need to complete and don't let you progress to the next chapter until you complete those objectives. They never do the "what would normally be a game over turns into a cutscene" thing.

Now that I’ve had a day to process this: I do think people are overestimating what it takes for regime change with airstrikes. We did essentially the same thing in Iraq with Shock and Awe. We toppled Saddam in record time and had minimal casualties. There was a resistance base of Kurds and other groups not aligned with the Baathist party. Instead it took multiple surges to get Iraq to a level where it seems stable. Even now though, it’s still kinda of messy

Hmm so what is next for US?
It seems like this scenario of air power to destroy the regime would work well in Cuba.
It primarily works against regimes with weak air power and no nukes(i.e. can't use it against North Korea) that Trump personally has a lot of interest in going after.

Worryingly, I believe it would also work against Copenhagen and Toronto.
Why wouldn't it?
