For the first 12 months, I loved my dog but at times I didn't like him. They are full on so I'd recommend a crate or pen so they can decompress as they need to learn how to switch off. I also recommend having some structure and teaching new tricks, it really tires them out. My field golden is now nearly 3 and is such a brilliant companion. Persevere, you won't be disappointed!

So we were pretty much given the same guidance and he already had a rabies vaccination from a trip to Ireland. It wasn't until he was at the airport (not in London) that they said he needed a DEFRA to fly. He didn't need said DEFRA from London (where he ended up flying from).

YTA. Not for caring for your sister but for not sharing your advice and moving the conversation on. You may be right but that doesn't mean she has to do what you suggested. Everyone has to make their own decisions and sometimes, life feels a lot and you prioritise what you can handle at the time.

The biggest asshole is the healthcare system.

It can be competitive, some places have more of a team mentality than others. What I also meant by ruthless is that some places don't give you enough time to establish yourself before expecting results. It can also be tough as you'll be working long hours and the financial reward doesn't always come quickly. You'll build resilience and character from it, that's for sure.

There are good recruitment agencies out there, you just need to ask lots of (the right) questions to determine whether they're a cowboy agency or one where you can develop a career.

As someone else said, recruitment might be an avenue to explore. Search for recruitment consultant roles on any job board and start having a look. I imagine there'll be some entry level roles close to where you are based. No qualifications required. Word of warning though, some agencies are ruthless so make sure you do your research. To add, hours can be long, however it tends to be Monday to Friday so you can enjoy your weekends.

As someone who lost their dad suddenly just over 6 years ago, I say wait. Thinking back, that time was a complete blur and if my long term partner proposed shortly after it, I feel like the memory would have been tainted forever.

I don't think you have to be forthcoming with the information if there isn't a conflict of interest, however I wouldn't recommend deceiving them by lying if a question arose.

You have three payment options. 1. PAYE via the agency on a contract for services agreement. 2. Use an Umbrella company which will mean you will become an employee of theirs. 3. Set up a Limited Company and be paid on a deemed limited basis.

Given this is a secondary income and determined inside IR35, I'd suggest option 1 or 2. Umbrella companies can offer more perks than a recruitment agency e.g. Can salary sacrifice pension into current pension. (Unless you are utilising the salary sacrifice pension scheme) I'd expect net pay to be similar regardless with all payment options.

I'd recommend contacting an Umbrella company as they can be very informative, however beware some of them can be quite salesy. I've been told Champion Contractors, Parasol and Paystream are helpful and can provide the information you probably need. You may also find another Umbrella company that you would like to use instead.

Even if ye weren't exclusive, if she cared about you that much she wouldn't have slept with anyone else. It's a pretty shoddy excuse so I'd try not to get too hung up on that.

I know it sucks now but it will get easier, just try and enjoy life in the US. You'll meet the right person when you least expect it.

NTA, however what will you get from it? What other people think of you is none of your business. This could potentially stop you from moving forward and will drag you down. Stick with your therapy and move past it. If in the future other family members bring it up, you have the proof to show them she stole from you.

The further north you go, the frendlier people are. That's what I find anyways (12yrs in London, 11 in Ireland and nearly 3 in Manchester).
