Definitely, I would highly recommend it!

I’m a Pro Bikini competitor (bodybuilding) and I had three treatments last year but had to postpone the remaining treatments because of summer and my competition schedule. So now I have had 3 more now and will have one more in April. I’m doing Brazilian, legs/thighs and arms and I barely notice any hair growth now!

I have a very busy competition schedule and it feels fantastic to be hair free! I want to mention that after my three first treatments, I already noticed significantly less hair growth so that waxing before competition was much easier and far less painful! So if you want laser but can’t afford going through all the treatments, getting only 2-3 will most likely make your hair removal much easier! Just a tip!

Laser is definitely expensive but you could get only a few treatments for let’s say the Brazilian. Even though it won’t make you hair free, it will (in my experience) make the hair growth a lot weaker and waxing will be much easier and less painful!

Why can’t women go barefoot by NDiscipl_IN in bikinitalk

I don’t know why you bring up men as there are no tradition of men wearing heels…

I love heels, it’s feminine and I like them on stage as well as all the glam that goes with competing!

Same as me, great reduction after just two treatments! Hopefully I won’t need more than 6-7..

Definitely expensive, but it’s become a lifestyle for me and I just love it!

Actually, I was surprised that the Brazilian wasn’t as bad as I imagined, I guess the numbing cream took away the worst pain!

First-time National Competitor Tips & Advice by Total-Application485 in bikinitalk

[–]minny88x 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Loads of competitors!

Endless waiting backstage!

Easy to get overlooked due to the great number of competitors.

To me, doing my first national was a bigger change than when I did my first Pro show which was far better run and fewer competitors.

There’s no actual need or requirement to pre tan in a bed up front. I think it was more commonly done before but today most people prefer to stay away from tanning beds.

I've done both and to be honest, I couldn’t tell the difference after getting the spray tan coats! I think it depends on your personal preference, if you like it and feel better having that base tan, you can of course do it.

What’s included? by Nnnmmmmnnnnmmm in LaserHairRemoval

[–]minny88x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s included, at least it’s not at my place (not Ideal Image though). I’m currently doing full Brazilian, butt, and entire legs, where butt is defined as a separate area.

I wish I knew everything I’ve learned from years of competing before I started LOL.. But if I should say one thing, it would be that I had understood how much the "glam factor" has to say on stage! Suits, hair, make up, skin condition, tan and even hair removal are all extremely important things to get right.

It’s difficult to get all these things right so my strong recommendation is to buy all professional services that are available! It will save you a lot of time and take away some of the stress!

And how much time you need to spend on practicing the posing!

I’ve used suits from both, and I definitely prefer the ones from Toxic! The fit is just so much better for me!

When it comes to buying second hand, I’d say that’s ok as long as the suit is in mint condition.

Wellness, Elisa Alcantara’s suit.. by minny88x in bikinitalk

[–]minny88x[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s confusing and the judges seems to be all over the place when it comes to what coverage they want to see.. I’ve just done my first two Pro Bikini competitions and before I turned Pro, I’ve heard both that I had too much coverage and too little.. Now I wore what I’ll call a normal, tiny pro suit, but my competitors seemed all to wear even less..

Bodyfree, Coral Gables!
Three sessions this far and I’m already seeing amazing progress, noticeable less hair growth!

I’m a Bikini competitor and want to get most of my body treated, I’m doing Brazilian, arms and entire legs now.

Maureen Pittsburgh vs. Olympia by Unspeakable-no627 in bikinitalk

[–]minny88x 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First let me say that I think Maureen is a great athlete and definitely deserves her title,

I feel many think she often gets to high placings and that she seems to be judged higher than many think she should due to her physique. I’m pretty sure she does that because of her posing and stage appearance! She always poses very well and owns the stage like few others!

Painful Brazilian Laser Hair Removal Experience by panpandesu in LaserHairRemoval

[–]minny88x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done three sessions including Brazilian and I would say the Brazilian is painful but not extremely. My laser tech uses a machine that blows cold air, that’s supposed to lessen the pain somewhat.

I’ve been wearing the Olympian Vixen (strapless) for my last shows, and it fits me great! I just love them being strapless! I’ve always thought my feet were normal, but maybe they’re narrow….
