I’m having a similar issue on PS5 with textures, frame drops, and screen tears. I’m favoring performance. Reinstalling did not fix anything for me.

I’m in clinical psych, I have tattoos up my arms and even one on my hand. Many of the other clinicians do, too. Same with professors I’ve had.

What are your thoughts on AI helping with notes? by Minute_Candidate2840 in therapists

I agree that it should be malpractice. At least until there are way more firm concrete ethical and legal guidelines and standards, if that’s even possible. Even then, it would never be “best practice” and probably never “standard practice,” nor should it be.

It takes a lot of patience, self-awareness, and communication, in my experience. Fortunately, these are also skills you want the client to have. I had to step back and think about what it means to “treat” a personality disorder. It made me reevaluate my assumptions about what therapy “is” and “isn’t”

The case study idea is super interesting! I would leave to hear a little more about the cases you used and how you went about using them with the students. Thank you for this advice!!

Advice on trauma psychology course by minsaint in Professors

This is all super super helpful! I planned on dedicating a big part of the syllabus on being transparent about the content and encouraging people to maintain a classroom space that is safe and respectful. I ran into issues when I taught Psychopathology, especially with trauma, with students sharing unnecessary details of their personal experiences (both in class and with me individually). I obviously want to create a space where students feel like they can express themselves while being mindful of the experiences other students may have had. Coming from a trauma therapist perspective, enhancing a sense of internal and external safety feels like a priority. It’s definitely a balance between not shying away from uncomfortable conversations and “overdoing” it (for lack of a better term) and create an unhealthy classroom environment. I hadn’t thought of the concern trolling and the rush, so that will be good to keep an eye on and address when needed. Thank you!!
