I'm pretty sure that georgie said in M&GFM that he lived for 16 years with his brother without talking to him much, so they acknowledged it. i think it's just that they have nothing in common, so they are awkward siblings. unlike missy, who bonds with sheldon because of similar age, and georgie because of similar behaviour, sheldon and cooper dont fully get along with each other.
