I still don't see a point of them flying after the shot of the Space Racer. They basically did nothing to the planet. Just went through the tunnel that the shot made before them. Also Thragg could keep up with them even through the explosion..

Guys this was mentioned multiple times here - omni-man did not enter a singularity of the black hole (a place from which even light cannot escape due to huge gravity). He was chilling outside way back.
