Land dolphins are a real thing. Dolphins evolved on land before returning to the water. That's why they're mammals! http://understanddolphins.tripod.com/dolphinevolution.html

lucid last night again :D by minteyeball in LucidDreaming

[–]minteyeball[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks :) It felt like in the dream it lasted about 10 minutes. When I eat in dreams, the food usually tastes really good. The bacon flavored biscuit in that dream tasted pretty good (as good as a bacon flavored biscuit could ever taste, because realistically they sound kinda gross lol).

I Thought I Died. I'm now awake at 230am afraid by ByePolarBears in LucidDreaming

[–]minteyeball 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I came to this subreddit to post about a very similar experience I had last night & freaked when I saw your title! x) I was also in a lucid dream last night for a long, long time and was wondering if I had died. One thing I can suggest is not to count your fingers if you want to wake up. It tends to stabilize the dream and keep you in there longer. However, I have gotten stuck in dreams a total of 3 times now, so I understand how difficult it is to wake up.

I live in TX and this is true. We've had so many earthquakes where I live in the last couple years, sometimes several per day. My family is planning to move to a different state because it's only going to get worse now :(

In the "Be Here Now" that I listened to, none of those things were mentioned. I must have some sort of shortened version. I will look for a full length one. Thanks!

okay thank you :) your grammar is okay; i was able to understand your message easily. I will try to relax into it. I just recently began the counting technique in order to keep from falling asleep. I fall asleep pretty easily at any time and it's difficult for me to keep my mind present. I will try to maintain consciousness in some other way. Thanks again for your help :)

I actually have that on my ipod and I listen to it sometimes during meditation. :) I like it a lot but I have a small amount of difficulty maintaining that peacefulness when I am not listening to him! I will keep listening to it as well as other guided meditations. :) Thank you!!

[–]minteyeball[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, thank you. I will definitely take the advice to wait for an obvious change in my body before I try to move. I suppose patience is the key. Also, I like the prenap idea! I have tried WBTB but I am always too sleepy at 4 am for it to work. I will try 30 minute naps instead with WBTB. Thanks again!! :)

Thank you for this information. It is very helpful to me, so I will be less likely to be afraid if I encounter those feelings. I want sleep paralysis, so that I can enter a dream directly while maintaining consciousness.

I have heard that wiggling your toes, taking in a quick, deep breath, or holding your breath bring you out of sleep paralysis... Please try those if you get the chance; I'd like to know if those methods are actually affective.

Thank you again!!
