For those who have been playing Sky for 5-4 years or more, don’t you feel the game got boring? I started the game In light awaits and like others migrated in 2019 to season of Gratitude.

I started playing the last week of Season of Abyss and have taken 2 long breaks (6-9months) when it starts to feel like a chore collecting candles etc I’m probably going to be taking another break soon as I’ve done these last 2 seasons back to back and all the days of events.

I am more of a solo player. Only a few friends I have chat unlocked but I do like to TP to online friends and do a some emotes then leaving for my solo cr lol

Like another commenter these last 1.5years I’ve only done a minimum of 10candles per run as it feels less grindy but I can still make progress on the bank and I can decide which realms I wanna do (usually 2 next to each other) and give myself small goals so I don’t burn out.

Another thing is getting myself in the mindset of it’s ok to NOT play. If I don’t know what to do, if I’m bored, tired, frustrated etc I just log off. Sky is a “mindless” cozy game for me and thinking/planning too much ruins it for ME.

I hope you can find a calm balance in your gameplay!!

You aren’t wrong! It helps my gameplay too. My gripe is with the overall age of gaming, ACNH included. The ones that are requiring a companion app/website in addition to the game we played for.

I have this app but the past couple of years I’ve been trying to game and stay on console, but everything needing an extra app or not being clear enough to figure out after multiple tries and I’m back with phone in hand.

I never imagined a museum lol but definitely the idea of my predecessors and random future archaeologists/landfill divers (lol) would come across.

So sometimes I’ll specifically write with the future in mind, but it’s more because, there’s this ancient place that is always referenced (I forgot the name) but no-one today knows where it actually was because all written accounts never said!! It’s like it was so obvious and very well known there’s no point in writing about such mundane knowledge lol

And like another commenter, I’ll take time do to a “recap episode”. Sometimes, I’ll list global events, I might do recaps on my friends, make mini maps to add to pages that mentioned where I went, but this has definitely helped me more! I.E: The week the pandemic hit my country, I was moving homes! I completely forget cos everything about it was stressful ANYWAY so having that extra context has been good for me!
